The room was okay – clean and functional for a short stay. Unfortunately, the host was quite rude and not welcoming, which affected our experience. We travel a lot and have never experienced anything like this before.

Position is very nice but the room are old and the smell wasn't good. The doors and walls are thin and you can hear noises from other rooms. The doorbell rings loudly and can be heard every time someone enters the front door. Our fridge in our room was making a very strange noise. There are no cooking facilities. The only thing they provide is a kettle for making tea and coffee. Price too high for the quality offered.

This place was a perfect place to stay in barcelona. Location was great in a safe area and staff were very friendly!! We have a private room with a shared bathroom and it was very pleasant and clean. Air conditioning worked very well with the heat.

Budget friendly option on a fairly good location.
Some renovating would be nice, as the room felt a bit dated.
Also our room had no window, unlike the photos, and it was not stated in the description.

Could be better didn’t look as good as the pictures showed. Kitchen didn’t open early and the kettle was broken. Shower could have been cleaner but overall average. Wouldn’t really recommend

Hotel staff were unaccommodating, rude, and made our stay extremely inconvenient for us. Very deceiving and certainly NOT worth the price to stay here.

The apartment was sort of cute and had character. Lovely tiles on the floors, cool but basic decor. However. It’s worth spending the extra few euros and getting a better place where you can sleep. Unfortunately even with earplugs you’ll be woken up several times a night by echoing hallways and slamming doors, not to mention the door buzzer ringing throughout the night.

Staff were very nice and the property was clean.
Although the AC in the room I was assigned was broken, and nothing was done to fix or mediate the hot dry air. There was a window but it opened to the narrow center of the building which housed the hvac of other apartments(very noisy and dirty), and half the window was blocked by a stained glass. The room was very small, you can hear everything foot step in the guest house. Bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. Shared bathroom is not ideal.

Wasn’t sign posted where it was properly, but apart from that, check in was easy. Then the room was very nice, very authentic. Definitely worth the extra money to have a shower and a toilet In the room. Excellent location was your 10/15 minute walk from everywhere you want too see. 5 minute walk from the nearest metro stop and 5 minute walk from the main train station

The hotel is very close to the center of Catalunya, only a 5-minute walk away. Although it is not a hotel, it is worth staying. The room is clean and the location is close!

This is my second time staying here. First time I stayed on the hostel side with my friends and had a great experience. We met so many great people and the staff was awesome. This time I stayed on the hotel side with my partner. Nico, Pame, and Umberto were absolutely amazing. We will definitively be staying here every time we come back to Barcelona.

Arrived later than expected which ultimately was my fault for not knowing the exact location. The staff were very welcoming and couldn't have been nicer to help me. Pamela is a legend and was extremely courteous in explaining how to get to my room and where all the amenities are, I would definitely recommend Generator for anyone looking to stay in Barcelona.

First time hostel experience and was decently good. Staff are really nice and accommodating. The vibe is
Good with a mix of older and younger people. I was on the top floor which was fairly quiet. Only complaint was the shower facilities which were often grimy but expected when they’re communal. I wish there were more private changing spaces. The location is perfect for central Barcelona and only a short walk to the nearest metro line. Overall I had a really good experience here. Thanks Generator Barcelona!

This is a great hostel! The staff are great, especially Jose and Guido! Jose was so helpful when I sprained my ankle, always making sure I had ice for it. The staff also made sure that I had extra pillows to elevate it. A great community of people who work here! Just wish the beds had surrounding curtains but otherwise great.
