H10 Imperial Tarraco 4* Sup in Tarragona

Comfortable hotel in an excellent location with perfect views. Breakfast was plentiful and good quality. Pools were clean with multiple loungers. Reception staff were friendly and very helpful. Service was let down by bar staff and waiting staff. We were a party of eight and would like to have met on the roof to bar each evening for a drink before going out but gave up after the second night as the two sometimes three staff completely ignored us. When trying to get a drink and lunch for two people to have by the pool downstairs the first time no staff could be found. Eventually we ordered but condiments requested arrived after lunch was finished. Three of our party tried again on another day and were told to go to the rooftop bar for orders where again service was extremely slow and they had to take the food/ drinks to the downstairs pool themselves. There were conferences/ weddings going on during our stay which seemed to take all the staff but I would expect a hotel of this calibre to staff accordingly so that hotel guests still receive a good quality of service. So, an excellent hotel let down by bar/ waiting staff.
