Hotel Sunway Playa Golf & Spa Sitges in Sitges

We haven’t get WINE!
Got AC issue.
The room only reached 22°C, so I set it to 24°C, but it stayed below 23°C. Staff tried to help, but nothing changed, so they provided a blanket.
The room is large and seems unable to handle outside air. The entrance faces outdoors, allowing outside air to enter from both sides.

Unfortunately, our experience at Sunway Playa Golf & Spa Sitges was far below expectations.
• The air conditioning did not work, making the room uncomfortably warm at night.
• We experienced insect/animal bites during our stay, which was unacceptable for a hotel of this standard.
• The hotel appeared to be understaffed, resulting in slow service and long waiting times for assistance.
• Our “double bed” was only 120 cm wide, far too small for two adults, and there was no proper duvet provided.
• The children’s playroom closed at 22:00, which is quite early for families on holiday.
• Our room keys frequently stopped working, requiring repeated trips to reception to reset them.
• The television in the room was so small that it was almost impossible to watch from the bed.

Overall, the hotel’s location is good, but the lack of maintenance, poor facilities, and insufficient staffing made our stay disappointing. This property could be much better with proper management and attention to guest comfort.

Disaster management and hotel is very far from 4 stars more like 2. You will NOT be checked in at 15 oclock as per reservation promise, more like 17 or 18 oclock and there are a lot of angry tired after travel guests at the reception for that every day. Manager is very rude and doesn’t offer a solution besides late check out, which creates a cycle of late check-ins and mismanagement. Really no staff know what they are doing. Stay away. Check their reviews for second location in sitges with a similar name, its horrible. Stay away

Hotel was away from the town of Sitges but the 30 minute walk was lovely along the sea and we appreciated the distance from the more touristy beaches. Unfortunately the indoor Jacuzzi was lukewarm and not hot enough for us. And the outdoor Jacuzzi next to the spa was closed for the season (November). The Saunas and steam room
didn't ever seem to be working and there was never spa staff at the front desk to assist. It wasn't beach weather so we spent our days walking through the town and playing ping pong in the game room.

We paid extra for the breakfast and it wasn't worth it. While there was an impressive wide selection, the scrambled eggs and sausages were cold and the "omelette" bar didn't include cheese or veggies, just eggs. The pastries were fresh, but overall we decided the breakfast was not worth it.

The supermarket in the hotel was great, we were able to grab snacks for the room.

Front desk staff scheduled a cab for us to the airport which was right on time, but there was a major miscommunication about charging us €8/day to use the outdoor Spa Jacuzzi even though it was closed for the season. We were never charged in the end.
