Hotel Best Punta Dorada in Salou

Just arrived home after a week at this lovely hotel. Very quiet hotel that caters wonderfully to adults (children are of course welcome) but there were other more child friendly places near by. I enjoyed my first holiday child free here. The staff levels were impeccable. From front of house (we spoke to Jonathan, who was always ready to help) to service staff in the restaurant and the wonderful polite and cheery cleaners. My husband and I were made to always feel welcome. The food was really great and lots of choices everyday. I tried many varieties. My only downside was dishes with sauces were too salty this seeemed to be the opinion of a few people and having to pay for water with each meal seemed alot. We didnt go all inclusive as we dont drink much alcohol or eat the poolside snacks. So the extra it cost wouldn't be worth it. We would have only got water as part of the all inclusive which seems a lot to pay in that regard. Water was available in a water stand in the morning but that was removed for lunch and dinner. The pool got most sun in the afternoon but honestly we walked literally two minutes away to a gorgeous little beach every afternoon for sunbathing and dips in the sea. There were three beaches ranging form small to large. Our mornings spent walking around the coastline to the bustle of salou or the opposite way to the lighthouse.
I would say if you intend to walk the coastal path do so in trainers. I always did and I am glad for it. The paths range from flat to sand to rock and sheer edges but they make for stunning views. Lots of stairs so avoid if you find them hard. There is also a flat walk but without the views.
The bus stop up and around the corner got us into tarragona to see the amazing sites and you can book excursions just a short way up from the hotel with easy pick ups etc.
A variety of local supermarkets offer anything you may need in an easy walking distance.
Overall I am very happy with my stay.

A really good hotel that is away from the main busy area of Salou but within easy walking distance. All the staff were friendly and efficient, but stayed in the background until you needed them. We would be staying here again.

Great hotel, very comfortable rooms, friendly and caring staff. Fantastic restaurant with very delisious and variable food. Nice bar and terrace with swimmingpool. Every evening musical events in the bar. Would like to come back here.

I haven't been abroad for at least 5 years so me and my brother had booked this hotel. Honestly I could not fault the hotel at all the staff were amazing,friendly and accommodating. we booked two separate rooms and we thought it would be a single bed how wrong we was the rooms were massive with two bug double beds and a big bathroom. Very clean and we both had a balcony looking out at the pool. We did the all inclusive package and the amount of variety on drinks alcoholic and non alcoholic in the price was just phenomenal definitely something for everyone. The food was lovely and again a variety so something for everyone also at the bar you could get snacks so if you missed the lunch slot you could get toasties, fries all included in the price. We had lovely beaches about a ten minute walk and if you fancied going out into salou itself you can get a bus which was very handy. Overall I was very pleased with my trip and would reccomend the hotel.

Currently staying in this hotel for a few nights with friends. So far we have all been very impressed. The hotel is lovely, the staff are all very friendly and the entertainment has been great. Jonathan on reception was extremely friendly when we first arrived and our room was upgraded, which was a great bonus. Highly recommend.

We spent a week here all inclusive with Tui, just a word of caution however, the buses that Tui use can’t get to the front of the hotel so you are dropped off at a roundabout which is then a quarter of of a mile down a hill to the hotel which unfortunately means on your return you are quarter of a mile up hill to get to the bus stop. Upon arrival, we found the hotel clean and modern and we were greeted in reception by Jonathan, we found him most helpful and friendly during our stay. The room was clean and finished to a good standard Akin to a Premier Inn plus type room in the uk. We found the food in the hotel to be nice and varied, with a feature themed evening each night. The food quality was quite good and the only criticism we would have would be the food warmers do not seem to keep the food very warm at all . Almost lukewarm in some instances. Please turn up your heaters. The pool area was nice and clean and there was plenty of sunbeds and parasols and it was never busy. We never had any trouble trying to get a sunbed at any time of day. We thought our maid and the general cleaning staff did an excellent job keeping the place really tidy. We never saw any litter at all or any tables covered in plates and glasses. Without exception, we found all of the staff to be polite, helpful and friendly at all times. The evening entertainment a bit lacklustre and not really to our taste but unfortunately with our room being just above the bar (3rd floor) and it was being played outside we had to endure it anyway until 11 pm. One day we chose to hire two bicycles which were available for rent at the sister hotel across the road. You hire via the reception and we did enquire are the bicycles well maintained and were assured yes they are. Unfortunately, our trusting nature was badly let down when the chain on one of the bikes came off in Salou which is probably a couple of miles away. I put the chain back on around five or six times, but each time it kept coming off within a minute, by this time I was covered in oil in grease and had to scoot and walk the bike back to the hotel. They were obviously very apologetic and gave a full refund, but that’s hardly the point. This looks bad on the hotel choosing a company with poorly maintained, past their best bicycles. I’d certainly think very carefully before doing something like that again. All in all we did enjoy our stay and had a great time. We hired a car via reception for a couple of days and explored the beautiful area.

This little hotel is a real gem. It’s away from the bustle of Salou, but near to little beaches and coves where you can swim in the Mediterranean. Rooms are clean. Food is good. Pool is quiet. The all inclusive deal helped me gain half a stone with very little effort. I was very impressed with the constant supply of cheese triangles at the buffet.

Great location, beautiful room, quiet hotel in the day which was what we needed, however entertainment on until 11pm and outside so the room allocation wasn't great for us as a family with a 7 year old being allocated directly above where the entertainment was (would have been better to put us further along) but we will know for next time to request not to be there should we return. Great selection of food with themed nights meaning variety. Never had to wait for or fight for a sun lounger! Bar staff were lovely and friendly.
