My stay at Hotel Sunshine Colombo was very satisfying. The hotel offers clean and comfortable rooms with a peaceful atmosphere. The staff provided excellent service and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The location is ideal for travelers, as it is close to important places in Colombo. I really enjoyed my stay and would gladly visit again.

Bad experience i had, worst charging, i booked only for one day, they have charged for 1 1/2 days for reservation day also, Cheat hotel; do not stay there, no proper explanation about the room fee policy and the check in & check out time at the time of check in.

Totally Unsatisfactory Stay – Do Not Book This Hotel
The hotel is nothing like the photos. The rooms are very old, dirty, and poorly maintained. The bathroom was in terrible condition—water leaking from the sink, the floor constantly flooded, and overall extremely unclean & from the entrance there was a uncleaned garbage bags with dirty smell, also the garbage remain whole day
They also charged extra fees under the excuse of a “half-day charge,” which was never mentioned at the time of booking. This was only brought up at the last moment with vague and unreasonable explanations. It felt like an intentional attempt to take money unfairly. The management was dishonest and unprofessional.
Safety is another serious concern. There are hidden entrances, sliding windows, and even concealed doors connecting rooms, which made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe.
Overall, this is a disgusting and untrustworthy place to stay.

The rooms were clean, but overall the stay was not satisfactory. The bathroom was very dirty, and we even found bird feathers inside the bathroom, which is completely unacceptable. I don’t know how that could happen.😡😡 Some time shit happens🤣

I stayed here while attending for a function elsewhere. This is easy to locate, even if you go by bus. 1 minute walking to Galle Road .

I have been going to Hotel Sunshine for many years when I need to go down to Colombo for a few days. It's ideal - very central - great staff and reception who are professional descreet friendly. The rates have virtually not increased over these years and it renains for me the best value for money hotels in central Colombo. Rooms are pretty as well as functional with hot water etc. Some rooms are better than others and there are AC and non AC. There is no breakfast but you can order food..coffee tea..though for me it's really a very practical stay over with excellent service..Top hotel

Very unfair service! They wanted us to pay in rupees as on black market exchange rate. This is prohibited and fully illegal !!! Cheaters!!! Not recommended at all

It's a good stop for you to refresh yourself. Good place to sleep, take a shower and the food is decent. Also, you can see the ocean at the end of the street. So that's a plus. :)
