Marakolliya Beach Resort in Tangalle

Very spacious and clean room. We had a deluxe double with pool view. Superb location right on the beach with the added bonus of a lovely pool. Breakfast was ok, but some covers over the food to stop the flies should be something the hotel invests in!! Prices at the bar are some of the highest I have seen in Sri Lanka, thought I was back home for a second!! Happy hour was a godsend, meaning "only" £3.50 for a cocktail 😁Anyhow bar prices and flies at breakfast aside its a good place to stay in a great location.

Shout out to the great bar staff. Thank you for accommodating us to o celebrate Australias Triple J hottest 100. Really nice beach/pool vibes. Plus the pool bar also helped bring the vibes up. Awesome day and thanks from us Aussies.

Really lovely experience! The staff and service was so amazing and really made our stay comfortable and relaxing.

Really great access to the beach and pretty secluded so it is never crowded.

The pool and pool bar is also super chill and everyone is super attentive.

They also have kayaking in the adjacent lake which is free for guests of the hotel.

10/10 would go again!

I've given it 5 stars due its location. Last property on the road. Unpolluted. Friendly staff. Tranquility plus. Great view of the sea, and solitude. Good food too. Cozy rooms. All good.
