Lanka Beach Bungalows in Tangalle

We had perfect two night stay here! The hotel has spacious and clean rooms, and in the hotel's restaurant Blue Dolphin we had the best rice and curry in our entire trip. It's just a few steps from a very calm beach without crowds. In the area you can do boat and kayak tours. Perfect for a relaxing holiday.

We stayed in three different hotels alomg the same beach trip due to inavailability of rooms. Lanka Beach excelled 1000 times more than the other two hotels. Top hospitality from Hans and the team, best seafood we tried in Sri Lanka, the bungalows are spacious and super clean. Although thr hotel waa fully booked when we were there, we felt we had the whole place and beach to ourselves. Honestly, the best stay of our two-week trip to Sri Lanka.

This was our first time in Sri Lanka and we decided to stay here for the entire 9 day experience.
The location is a dream in terms of quite and untouched by tourism, beaches. The property is located right on the beach and has a hammock with beach loungers available. The bungalow is very spacious with a large queen Portuguese style bed, protected with a mosquito net. Theres a dresser / writing desk fitted with a mini bar fridge with refreshments available. A kettle with tea cups, coffee, tea and sugar complimentary. Bottled water is provided each morning on the house. The large built in cupboards with available safe were separate to the main bedroom area. The bathroom was my personal favourite, with an indoor/ outdoor shower to experience. Bathroom amenities with fresh towels were also always available. Housekeeping services were available if needed each second day. The facilities of the properties are so beautiful kept. The infinity pool overlooking the beach and side by side to the terrace Blue dolphin restaurant.
Breakfast is complimentary with your booking and it is spectacular. Flavors and portions never failed and a few kilos should be proudly expected after your trip.
The resort Manager Hansila was ever so supportive and consistent with helping us get as much done within the surrounding area as we could manage. With daily check ins and recommendations we were extremely well cared for.
Lunch and dinner available throughout the day and in all honesty it was the best kitchen in a 20km radius at the least. Chef came to check on us always being honest with what was fresh, locally sourced and his recommendations. The service from Vido was consistently warm, effortless and friendly no matter the time of the day. On our last evening the team created a special surprise in our room with towel art and this was truly unexpected. You really feel like youre in a private island here. Thank you for the incredible stay.

We are usually quite critical travelers, but during our stay here, we couldn’t find a single fault. The bungalows are spotless, beautifully designed, modern, and fully equipped with everything we need. The beach is peaceful, quiet, almost empty – a truly stunning stretch of coastline.
The food was absolutely delicious throughout our stay.
A special thank you to Hansana and Vidura, who worked tirelessly from morning to night, but always had a warm smile and a kind word for us. I sincerely hope the owner knows how valuable and rare such dedicated staff members are.
This place offers exceptional value for money.

Very beautiful place. The surroundings are amazing. The staff is very nice and willing to help you with everything you need. The rooms are spacious and with great views at the ocean. The food is good. I definitely recommend this place. Good value for the price.

Very nice place (awesome rooms, good food etc.) and awesome staff! Very good value for money, there are some places around that are significantly more expensensive and don't offer more.

Perfect stay, wonderful place!

We really enjoyed our stay at Lanka Beach Bungalows! The place is amazing, with a luxury hotel feel, however has the friendliness of a homestay. Great breakfast with loads of choice, wonderful pool and right on the beach. They have bikes you can borrow and cycle down to the fisherman's port and meet some locals. It is quite a bit out of town (20 min tuk-tuk, about 800 rupees to Tangalle), however after visiting Tangalle I wouldn't say that was a bad thing. It's nice to be away from the hustle and bustle. Would absolutely recommend!
