Green Parrot Beach Resort in Tangalle

We staved at this hotel for three nights, and it was one of those places vou reallv want to return to. The hotel itself is very intimate, with a relaxed, discreet atmosphere, nothing
over the top, but with a great vibe. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, each with its own terrace or balcony
providing a sense of privacy and peace
The location is perfect for relaxation: close to the Beach yet off the beaten track in Tangalle. The peace, quiet, and almost rural surroundings-if vou're looking for a quiet
getaway, this is the perfect choice.
However, what made the biggest impression on us was the service. The staff at the reception and restaurant were simply amazing-warm, friendly, always smiling, and very
caring. We'l| especially remember them for their care and concern when my partner iniured his leg-they asked questions, helped, and were genuinely concerned. The guys definitely deserve a raise and a bonus😉
Delicious breakfasts and generally very good food in the hotel restaurant.
An additional, completely unofficial plus for the hotel: Papaya the cat, who wandered around the grounds and effectively lifted everyone's spirits 😻We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for peace, a good atmosphere, and truly friendly service💙

A lovely hotel in the beautiful area.
The rooms are clean, facilities are fresh, and the hotel premises are nice to be at. The location is quiet but also convenient to get from/to by tuktuk or car.
The stuff is very welcoming, friendly and helpful, also a special thanks to a manager Victor for always making sure we have a lovely stay!

We spent a beautiful 8 days at this hotel. This is an amazing place for a quiet stay! The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the pool is very clean. You can book tours into the surrounding jungle. Thanks a lot!

We spent two nights at this beautiful hotel, slightly outside the town, surrounded by greenery and right on the beach. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The pool area, complete with sun loungers and umbrellas, was perfect for relaxing. The adjoining restaurant serves delicious cocktails by the pool, as well as excellent breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The staff is incredibly warm and attentive, always happy to chat about the country and its people while sharing valuable travel tips. We felt very comfortable at Green Parrot and highly recommend staying here.

The room was great, really spacious and nicely decorated. Service was excellent from reception and management, the hotel was clearly signposted and plenty of parking space available. The location is slightly out of the way but good access to the nearest beach and the pool is great too.

Overall very good value for money, I would highly recommend. The one and only thing that let it down is the speed of service at breakfast, we waited 50 minutes for a simple vegetable patty and eggs one morning, it was hard to believe. Luckily we didn't have anywhere we needed to be. Still, overall a great hotel with fantastic amenities and stunning beaches nearby which were more or less deserted when we visited.

Dream hotel! Of all the places in Sri Lanka (we stayed in Hikkaduwa, Unawatuna, Weligama, Ella and Kandy) this was our favorite. A quiet beautiful beach with almost no people, a clean white hotel with a swimming pool and delicious food in the restaurant. Surprisingly spacious room: the two of us had enough space for a comfortable stay. Of course, there is not much entertainment nearby (there are no restaurants and parties). But we went to the temple on the rock at dawn and to the Botanical Garden with hundreds of kinds of flowers. Thanks to the owners of the hotel for such a wonderful place and employees for their care!

Guys, the review does not differ from everyone else ... :) The hotel is very pleasant, it has a swimming pool, its own restaurant, a lot of board games opposite the reception, a minute from the beach. The beach is clean and there are no people on it, because the place is not yet particularly built up by hoteliers. The room was excellent, the view of both the sea and the lake, huge, all the amenities - a shower, WiFi, a huge bed, two balconies, cleaned every day. For a family holiday - magical, but if you are lovers of parties and a break in the morning, then go to Thailand;)

What a great experience we had at the Green Parrot! Ana and her husband were gracious hosts and the hotel was full of thoughtful touches. If you love a hot shower, you'll be happy here! Bed and bathroom linens were high quality and the rooms tastefully decorated. Ana provided excellent recommendations to modify our activities and I'm so glad we followed her advice! Breakfast was great and Ana even made a gluten free soufle cake especially for us! This was by far our favourite place to stay while travelling in Sri Lanka.
