What a wonderful stay we had at Sanjis! Perfect beachfront location, attentive staff and a fabulous breakfast.
Rooms were nicely sized with a nice shower. Pool was small but quite clean.
The staff really made it special! Always had a smile for you and took care of anything you might need.
Id like to suggest 3 small things that would improve the quality of the experience for the guests. 1. A hot water kettle, 2. a small refrigerator 3. A small broom in each room to sweep up the sand we track in.

We didn't stay here, but poped in for a very tasty cup of coffee and had a chat with the owner Sanji. Sanji was very kind and pleasant to talk to, while he told us a bit about his life and his travels to Europe and our country.

I don’t recommend the hotel due to very weird owner. We had to spent two days to change our reservation and he had new problems everyday.
Besides the hotel management itself, the hotel has a great staff and chef and it’s very close to the beautiful beach
Beware of two things (especially if you have kids): the swimming pool was dirty and we couldn’t swim for the last two days as well as the ocean in that area is very dangerous so you can’t swim in it either. There is nothing to do nearby so be prepared for it.
If you want to stay here please do everything via booking.com. Otherwise you may face very uncomfortable and weird situations with the owner & hotel management.

The stay was very pleasant and relaxing. The staff is very friendly and Sanji is extremely attentive and professional. The rooms were clean and very spacious. The place was filed with plants and greenery everywhere. Direct access to the beach made it even better.

A lovely beach front small complex. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were lovely and the shower hot enough (eventually!).
Food was lovely, maki maki fish was the star, but a bit more expensive than the local restaurants. Could do with a kettle on the room but that certainly did effect our stay. It's spotlessly clean and the pool was a good size so I don't get other complaints about it.
Overall it was a lovely introduction to the south coast of Sri Lanka.

Our stay at Sanji’s place was nothing short of divine. He and his entire team are incredibly adept at creating a haven that is unmatched. My sweetheart and I were treated like true VIP’s every second of our stay. If you are looking for an environment that offers the best of Sri Lanka, this is the place. The food was delicious-some of the best cuisine we’ve ever had. Everything was fresh and homemade with love and exceptional culinary finesse. The beach is stunning! It is a long, pristine stretch with no rocks and surrounded by lush greens and phenomenal biodiversity. We enjoyed taking a lovely sunset ride through the lagoon, seeing gorgeous birds and baby monkeys! We also took a Tuk Tuk ride through town and enjoyed the Ayurvedic spa right across from the resort. Sanji and his team made sure that we had everything we needed to truly relax and be enveloped in the beauty of the land.

We've spent few great days in a comfortable villa with a breataking ocean view. There is also a swimming pool next to the beach. Sanjis, the owner, is lovely, talks to all the guests and is fluent in English and German. The hotel is situated next to a beautiful beach. There are only few small hotels next to the beach, so you can find peace and quiet.

If you are looking for super friendly and super comfy place came here. Best hotel in area if you are looking for cabana style hotel.
Pool may be useful as there are big waves in ocean. Very friendly stuff. If you are looking for hotel in this area be careful for terrible Nirvana hotel that is few meters away. If you ask around everyone will tell you many terrible stories about that place and its owners. I also had terrible experience about sleeping there. Its like two worlds in hospitality between Senjis and Nirvana. Take my word and avoid Nirvana if you want to have relaxed vacations. Senjis is your save bet!
