Beautiful place very serene and the staff really go out of their way to attend to yoru requests. We stayed in the family chalet. Hassan was amazing and so was lahiru they tried very hard and were super attentive . Great dining experinec check in and the guy at the spa/gym were always so friendly. Nice size gym, tennis court squash courts, basketball and badminton. Great well looked after facilities. Half board was good, beef was amazing. And so was beef salad. Breakfast was tasty and ala carte, but Great variety of local and western. They have free driver accommodation. All in all heavenly experience. Only comment to make is lights go off due to generator but it's for 5 seconds, so just sharing for information purposes. Also there are 2 roads leading in. 1 is not a good road and the other is perfectly fine so make sure to choose correct route.

Fantastic room with no issues. Lovely view of tea plantation and hills. Great staff and friendly Restaurant meal absolutely stunning but ate alone in large room so not much atmosphere. Breakfast was the same but with one guest only in the room. Meals were included and were extremely tasty. There is no alcohol served but the non alcoholic cocktails were delicious. Just a bit of a pity we didn’t see many other guests while our stay. Certainly worth the price but be aware of the journey to the hotel via the tight village road. Our driver did say he was with eight others in one room really odd!

Awesome, luxurious accommodation in the middle of a tea plantation. You will struggle to get a better view from your balcony than from here! Huge suite kitted out with all you require plus more. Highly recommend the back massage from the spa. Delicious complimentary tea was most welcome when we arrived.

A Restorative Escape at Asana Wellness Resort Our stay at Asana Wellness Resort was nothing short of rejuvenating. Nestled on the mountainside, our private house on stilts was surrounded by lush greenery and misty treetops—like living in a treehouse with the comforts of a luxury retreat. We felt instantly healthier and more grounded just being there. One of the highlights was walking the red clay path that loops through the grounds. It took about 45 minutes and offered breathtaking views, with tea pickers at work in the distance adding to the charm and authenticity of the setting. The food was fresh and flavorful—healthy without ever feeling restrictive. The gym’s personal trainer Ramesh gave us a fantastic session, with personalized stretching that left us feeling energized and loose. We also took part in yoga session with a kind soul, and spent time unwinding in the sauna followed by a refreshing dip in the cold plunge pool. Cigerettes and alcohol are banned. Every detail felt intentional and nurturing. Asana isn’t just a resort—it’s a true wellness experience. Thank you to the great team

The last 3 nights of our 2 week trip we spent at Anasa Wellness Resort which we were very much looking forward to and deliberately scheduled for the end of our trip to wind down, relax, recalibrate before going back to busy lifestyles. Anasa Wellness Resort is situated in the mountains, a short drive from Ella and nestled amongst tea plantations. The view and surrounding area is absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to such a view in the very cute and cosy chalets was wonderful. There are 10 chalets, all the same and therefore such not many guest so quite exclusive. The chalets along with the main chalet where the reception and restaurant is, is very clean and well looked after. From the website and appearance upon arriving and general outside appearance it looks really wonderful - given it's ranked as a 5* luxury wellness resort - and it is, however there are some small attention to detail that could be improved to live up to its 5* ranking. You are given slippers/flip flops to use in the room and or for the wellness area, however looking at them they look clearly worn - second hand. Apparently this is for the reason that they reuse their plastic slippers for sustainability (just so you are aware! Luckily we also had our own!) Given that Anasa Wellness Resort is so secluded from the rest of the island (it almost looks like driving into a prison with high fences and security, which is reassuring but also can be daunting) they offer really a number of different activities: basketball and tennis courts, mini golf, state of the art gym and spa - even walking down from your chalet to the area with all the actives is a little walk itself, which is really fine and not difficult, however would be if you have any disabilities or trouble walking. That said, they do offer a golf cart option should you need it. We were a bit disappointed with the wellness area and in the end did not use any of it - the pool alone is placed really bizarrely that actually most of the time it’s in the shade and already its quite a chilly climate versus Ella or other parts of the island. They do however offer a free yoga session which is nice and then your little walk back uphill after - you’ve had a good workout ;) We were really looking forward to the food at Anasa Wellness Resort given what we had read about it and it also being a wellness resort - we had chosen the half board option and it was good food but nothing to write home about. Quite basic and simple. Anasa Wellness Resort has the price tag and outer appearance of luxury however the service (although friendly and helpful) and execution does not quite bridge that gap. They do not advertise or market their property given high profile guests that they receive several times a year, which from observation, covers them financially that no extra effort is really given when regular guest stay, again for the price tag and exclusivity you’re booking it for.

A fantastic 3 night stay at this lovely place deep in the hills around Ella. We were so grateful to the personal trainer Ramesh and the yoga and massage lady Ouri, the food accommodation and service all fab, we left feeling refreshed and stretched, we will return hopefully

Well what fantastic first impression and the view is amazing. From there it just goes down hill you arrive at your bill and it looks great. Then you look more closely and we find mould and damp in the lobby area. Then you look for you slippers and tiny astonishment they were second hand. When I questioned this I was told it was the policy to reuse plastic slippers. We then when to the restaurant to have a look at the menu we were given a set menu as we had booked half board. So I asked if we could see the a la cart menu but was told we can not have this as it is against their policy. We should have stayed more nights but decided to checkout early. Also asked if we could put the 2 single beds together again it is against the policy

Our stay was absolutely delightful. From the moment we arrived, the staff, especially Imad and Luky at the reception, were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional! We opted for the half-board option, and Chef Paul truly outdid himself. Both breakfast and dinner were served à la carte, offering a dining experience comparable to a 7-star restaurant in Dubai. Ishfak, our waiter, was very welcoming and attentive. The weather was fantastic, the chalets were spotlessly clean, and the yoga classes, gym, swimming pool, basketball court were excellent additions to the experience. If you’re looking for an escape from your busy life, I highly recommend heading straight here from the airport and staying for a week. During our trip, we spent two nights in Kandy, two nights in Nuwara Eliya, and three nights at Anasa Resort. However, on our next visit, we’ll come directly to Anasa Resort. While Kandy and Nuwara Eliya offer a glimpse into Sri Lankan culture, skipping them and heading straight here provides a unique, serene experience. I hope the above would help you in planning your next trip to Srilanka, Maya
