The nearest village, Ranna (5 km away), has small shops where you can buy fruit, alcohol, and other essentials. There is also a local bus station in the village. Getting there is easy and affordable with a TukTuk, always available in front of the hotel. We had a great experience with a friendly and helpful young local driver from Ranna village – he can be reached via WhatsApp at +94 779 028 982. Tangalle is the nearest larger town, only 18 km away, and popular destinations like Ella and Yala National Park are also within reach for day trips or excursions. The hotel itself is set in a secure, beautifully landscaped area with gated access and security both at the entrance and by the beach. Sun loungers are available by the pool and closer to the ocean. While the beach is public, it’s usually very quiet and mostly used by hotel guests. The sea can be rough, but on calmer days it’s swimmable. There are charming beachfront restaurants within walking distance in both directions. Rooms are clean and serviced daily. We had a small issue with the wardrobe upon arrival, but the staff resolved it quickly and professionally. Breakfast is served buffet-style – the food is tasty, with a decent variety, although the menu remains similar from day to day. Note that the hotel does not serve alcohol. The staff is exceptionally warm, attentive, and eager to help – don’t hesitate to ask for anything you need. Locals in the area are also generally friendly and helpful. A small tip: bring mosquito repellent or consider buying the local oil, which works well. Local beach vendors offer excursions and tours – they are trustworthy, fairly priced, and genuinely care about providing good service. This hotel is a great choice for travelers looking for a peaceful stay close to nature, with easy access to nearby cultural and natural attractions.

The hotel is small, beautiful and clean. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is peaceful and quiet, it is very nice to relax with the family. Alcohol is not sold there and music is only played during meals. The food is good. The hotel is located right by the ocean. The beach is beautiful and clean, there are also beach chairs and towels. The pool is warm and clean, there are also beach chairs and towels. The rooms are large, the beds are large and comfortable. The rooms were cleaned every day. The hotel is very close to Mattala Airport. About a 2km walk away, along the ocean, is a very nice family restaurant U-point. I definitely recommend visiting it.

Our vacation was truly unforgettable! The hotel impressed us with its beauty and the incredible nature surrounding it. The beach was almost deserted, which allowed us to take wonderful photos in a peaceful atmosphere. The hotel is located a bit remotely, so getting to the nearest town without a tuk-tuk would be quite difficult. We were incredibly lucky to meet a guy named Madu! He became our guide to the Galle Port and a reliable tuk-tuk driver for local trips. Madu was always in touch and happily helped us with everything — from choosing food and fruits to finding souvenirs and booking massages. A great place for relaxation and privacy. A deserted beach for a huge distance in both directions. Good cuisine and fresh seafood. Very involved and friendly staff. I have seen almost all the beaches of the south and southwest: for me, this choice remains obviously the best.

I was travelling with my mum and we truly enjoyed our stay in this hotel! This is perfect place who wants to enjoy nature and quiet holidays. Location Less than 1h drive from Mattala airport. Around 1 hotel and only local village. Across the street bar/restaurant and mini shop. Small city just 5km away, were you can do alcohol, fruit and other shopping. Bigger city Tangalle just 18km away, outside of the hotel always tuktuks are available for the good price. Ella and Yala Safari are close, so it is a good hotel to stay if you plan to visit them. Hotel Good looking, around amazing nature. Monkeys were visiting us every day 😁 There are sunbeds by the pool and closer to the ocean. Beach is public, however, there were only hotel people, rarely locals passing by. Sebastian was very helpful and everyday would put sunbeds to the beach. Beach towels always available at the pool area. There is a pool for kids as well. Rooms are okay, cleaning everyday. Food Food is amazing! Breakfast/Dinner buffet, lunch you have to choose from menu. We have enjoyed lunch a lot, huge portions, so we were sharing 1 lunch for 2. The way they cool seafood is amazing, and i liked all of the sauces that were available. You will not be left hungry 😁 Alcohol is not available in hotel, but you can buy it from Ranna or in the bar across the street. Food is easy to digest, 1st time in asian country I didn’t have problems with stomach 😁 Hospitality All staff is super friendly, always here to help you. Do not be shy or afraid to ask, you will get what you need. Staff is doing everything for you to be happy. People outside in the village helpful and friendly as well, they are not tired of tourists yet, always smiling and make you feel welcome in their homeland. Swimming Most of the time waves are big, but if you know how to swim, you can do it. There are guards they always keep an eye when you are in the water Take mosquito spray! Or buy local oil. There are locals selling tours on the beach. Do not be afraid to buy from them. They have good price and providing best service, because it is very important for them.

We spent the unforgettable 10 days at Ranna 212 Beach Resort. The biggest adventures were upon arrival. We arrived around 2 AM and only guard was there. A moment later, Front Office Manager Mr. Rashad arrived. And he was our salvation! As it turned out later, it was our travel agency`s fault. But Rashad solved all the problems in the middle of the night and we got our rooms. Rooms were spacious,air conditioned, comfortable and clean, with wi-fi, private terraces. If you are looking for the quiet and peaceful rest and no need for all inclusive, then Ranna 212 is the target! Hotel staff is very friendly, kitchen is excellent (Chef is the Best). Nice and clean pool in the territory, beach is clean and silent. Ranna village is just less than 6 km away and Tangalle is around 19km away. Few tuck-tucks for smaller rides waiting next to the hotel. Location allows easy travel to Yalla and Undawalave national parks, we also went to Sinharaja rain forest, Hiriketiya Beach. We used private driver that we also arranged at the hotel. Driving in SriLanka is challenging, it is important to have an experienced driver that provides safe driving. One cannot fail to mention the genuine kindness and helpfulness of the staff. Everybody was kind and helpful, be it a pool area, kitchen, beach or the management. We would like to say our sincerest thanks to the hotel staff, Chef and of course Mr. Rashad for the most wonderful 10-day vacation! We have stayed in many different hotels, but kindness in this hotel was outstanding, exceptional and genuine. THANK YOU! We cannot mention all the good things we experienced at Ranna 212, it was a dream!

I recently spent two fantastic days at Ranna 212 Beach Resort with my family, and we had an amazing time! The hotel's lovely, tidy surroundings make it the ideal place for a fun family vacation. Our visit was made even more delightful by the immaculate and cosy apartments. The entire crew at the restaurant was very welcoming, but notably Shahir, Harim, and Chef Mr. Sameera, who made sure we had wonderful meals the entire time we were there. The cuisine was excellent! Additionally, the front desk personnel was incredibly friendly and helpful, always willing to help with anything we needed. A particular thank you to Mr. Shafras, the hotel general manager, who made sure our stay was wonderful and offered us great support. We were very grateful for the hospitality.

That's an excellent place for a holiday. A very calm and quiet place with the sea beach. The place is picturesque. All the 3 meals are superb with various food items. Specially the kitchen crew is very friendly. Their hospitality is excellent.Room facilities are in good condition.

Really beautiful resort however food wasn't great and the ride there wasn't as well due to the development of the roads but as a resort great place
