We had an amazing stay! The host was incredible – caring, funny, positive and very friendly. We felt completely looked after from the moment we arrived. The dinner he prepared was absolutely delicious; we’ve eaten in many places, but this was easily number one.
We had to leave at 3:00 AM for our next trip, and he still made us a fresh breakfast and walked us out. This is the perfect example of an ideal host.
The room was very clean, comfortable, and the location is great — close to the train station.
We recommend this place with all our heart and we will definitely come back at the next opportunity.

We spent a very nice 3 nights staying at the Grand Resort. The room was clean, with a big bathroom and decent WiFi.
What made the stay so good was the hospitality shown by Chamod. He was always smiling and laughing, and couldn’t do enough for us. And his breakfasts were lovely.
The place is up a steep hill, but it’s very easy to get tuk tuks using the PickMe app to get back home at night. And, each day when we set off walking down the hill, within a few minutes a tuk tuk was passing to flag down.
Thank you very much Chamod, and sorry we didn’t have time to put on a party for you when England beat Sri Lanka in the cricket - we believe you when you said you’d have put on a party for us if Sri Lanka had won!

The breakfast was large and delicious. I also opted to have the dinner from the stay which was great as well. They give you a lot of food for one person. The staff was super nice and helpful.
Located on a hill so harder to get there unless you take a tuktuk which you need to. The wifi was pretty weak as well for calls/video meetings.

I had an amazing stay at Grand resort. Chamod was very friendly and he laughs all the time. I recommend this place. Nice and quiet a little outside of town.

Very nice stay at grand resort and had very delicious breakfast. Nice and comfortable bed with large room. Super clean bathroom with all toiletries. Very friendly host. I’m recommending this place to anyone who visit kandy.

We stayed in November 2018 at Grand Resort by accident, because another place was overbooked. It is a small, lovely and family home stay.
Chamod, our very young host, is really welcoming and caring. He is always open minded for a nice and funny chat, gives you nice recommendation and super supportive in organizing your trip.
You should definitely try the home made food from Chamods mum.
We can really recommend staying at this guest house and many thanks again for giving us a last minute lift to the train station.

The WiFi in our room wasn't really working, but we had a little puppy with us an they did everything to help us with it.
And we even got our breakfast pretty early, at 6:30. Nice people, nice Resort!
