BPR - Asgiriya ,Kandy Hotel in Kandy

We went as a couple to visit the Maligawa and stayed at BPR Asgiriya for one night. It was a very pleasent stay and the room was very clean and neat. Breakfast was a la carte (due to the lower guest count for the night) but we got to know that they offer buffet too depending on the crowd. Reducing a star only because when we wanted to go out and came back, neither there was any security to open/close the parking gate and it was never locked. The location of the parking lot makes it difficult for one security officer to cover both the main entrance and parking lot to be fair. All in all it was a pleasent and convienient stay and we will be rebooking for any future visits to Kandy.

Nice new, modern hotel just a short walk into the main town of Kandy. This was one of the few hotels we booked through Agoda that allowed us to pay in advance. It didn't come with breakfast included, but we realised they do a big buffet breakfast for just 1700Rp each which was really good value. The room was clean and comfortable with air con and new bathroom. There's an underground carpark. The tv doesn''t work but we never use the tv when travelling anyway. Would recommend. Easy stroll into Kandy town centre.

I used Ctrip to book a hotel but they said they couldn't find the information. After a long period of communication and negotiation they said they could find the information. The location is a bit far from Kandy Lake, so you have to take a tuk-tuk to go out. Overall, the price/performance ratio is OK

Buddhist themed hotel. The theme is mainly reflected in the lobby and entrance. The interior decoration of the room is similar to that of an ordinary hotel.

Room: The sanitation of the room is very good. Clean and comfortable, had a great rest here. Except for the slightly poor sound insulation at the door (but other hotels seem to be similar), you have to ask the hotel front desk to get a hair dryer.

Breakfast can basically be passed on. If you pay extra for it, there is no need.

Service: The service staff are friendly.

Location: The hotel is very close to the lively area of ​​the city center and can be reached in about 15-20 minutes on foot. However, it is a little troublesome that the hotel is on a slope, and it still takes a while to walk up and down.

This hotel is at a such convenient location and it's super clean! You can walk to the city which is only 15mins away. It's so worth it for the price you pay. We had room service which was tasty and the portion size was good. They have mountain facing rooms which are the best as on the other side you can't really go to the balcony and enjoy the view.

BPR Asgiriya is a hidden gem in the busy city of Kandy. The location is great. 5 minutes drive to Dalada Maligawa. The rooms are very clean and spacious. They have family suites with adjoining bedrooms and are ideal if you are traveling with grown kids. Food was delicious and they were able to provide us with everything we requested. Mr. Gihan, Mr. Saman, and all the other staff were extremely helpful and made our stay a wonderful experience. Mr. Gihian assisted us from day 1 even before we made the reservation by providing us with all the details and answering all of our questions. We will definitely go back there and recommend BPR to our friends who are planning to visit Sri Lanka.

Very nice staff and service. Our room was clean, had air-conditioning and balcony with view on Kandy. This place has also great location if you want to take a tour in the city.

Can't fault this hotel. Great value for money, clean and comfortable rooms, and not far away from the city centre. Lovely balcony views too. Would have liked a fridge in the room.

Nestled in a serene environment, it offers tranquility and comfort along with all the necessary facilities. The staff, especially Gihan from the front office, was incredibly friendly and accommodating, adding to the overall positive experience.

Despite being slightly away from the city center (approximately 600m-800m), the peaceful ambiance more than makes up for it. The stay was worth every penny, offering great value for the price.

Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat with excellent service at a reasonable price.

The place is neat and clean. Location is good.. Mr Gihan and his staff were excellent in their hospitality. They provided use with local srilankan cuisines ...which were too good in taste. They took great care of our comfort. All in all..Great stay we had.
