We booked the hotel for the view as shown in Expedia but when we went there we were shocked to see no view at all. Room was pretty out dated. Hostel like beds, we went on a hot day and the fan given was broken. Breakfast was very basis but the cafe lady was very nice. Lady at the front desk ( Anita) seems a bit rube not polite at all.

Good hotel if you're just looking for a place to sleep, since you’ll probably be out exploring most of the time. It’s not a 5-star property, but it does the job for a night or two. Staff were friendly and the location is spot on — about a 10–15 minute walk to the lake and the center of Thun. Parking is available right next to the hotel and it’s affordable, but make sure to have some Swiss Franc coins on you.

Don't stay here while there is a heat wave
We stayed here while there was a heat wave - no AC in the room, and opening windows created 2 other problems - lots of mosquitoes flying in and a lot of noise - the low point was when someone started to use 2-stroke bush-trimmer next to the hotel 06 AM. Bathroom did not remove any moist and felt more like a Turkish steam sauna. Would have probably been much better experience if the weather had been colder.

Enjoyed my stay, price was very fair. Close to bus stop and walkable to the lake and train. Shared bath had a handheld shower which was weird. Breakfast coffee poor. Clean though and nice staff.

The room was very comfortable. Location was right across the street from express bus that took you to train station in 5 minutes. Hotel is a short walk from a lovely wooded park and Lake Thun. Hotel is about a half hour walk from the city center if you walk thru the park and along the lake.

I paid £600 for 3 days it was an absolute rip off it’s not a 3 star below average filthy and unsafe. Besides except the staff Gonzalo’s staff were terrible rude and un pleasant the cafe lady was nice though. Rooms are poorly conditioned no double beds broken fans with string attached my son couldn’t sleep at all. This must be rate to 1 star hotel

Roomed were terrible service very poor except two staff Gonzales and the cafe lady were very nice. Hotel cannot be rated as 3 star should be below 1 star. Half and safety and cleanliness absolute minimum.

The price is on the higher end for rooms of this quality but the location is quite nice and close to the lake.
Staff at the breakfast and restaurant was exteremly nice and welcoming. What we did not appreciate was the lady at the reception. Over several interactions with her, she was cold, clearly annoyed and hates her job. This booking came with local bus passes for free and she did not mention this to us at all.

Our stay was perfect. The hotel and room was well maintained. The room we have was spacious and comfortable.
We were given a free bus pass when we arrived, which was great as the bus stop is literally right outside the hotel and buses run every 10 minutes.
We didn’t eat our evening meal at the restaurant as we wanted to wander around Thun.
The breakfast was a bit minimalist, but there was enough to eat.
The staff were all pleasant.
