We had a wonderful ski vacation. The hotel stuff are really so kind and even helped us planning our ski sites according to the weather. The hotel and rooms a spotlessly clean and the breakfast is fresh and versatile. It is located a bit aside from the village, but you'll get a very nice view from the room. There is a ski bus just in front of the entrance, so it was great. The SPA is just super!! I would definitely recommend staying there 😊

overall great, we went twice and will repeat for sure in the future. The only negative point is the pillows, but that’s my personal taste. It would be great to have a Nespresso machine or similar, and a water kettle in the room, it would make the room just perfect.

This is a great hotel in Engelberg. Not in the center. but with free shuttle buses - it doesn't matter.
Very organized. Reception staff go above and beyond to help.
The spa and pool area is larger than average, very clean, and open for long hours. This was very important to us after a workout day in the mountains.
Great additional lounges for relaxing with friends.
Great play room if you are traveling with small children.
Breakfast was fresh but quite basic and a bit boring.
The ski equipment changing room lacks seating benches.
The restaurant across the street kept us waiting over an hour for our order - they explained the reason, but that long a wait is unacceptable.

My third visit to this superb small friendly hotel. Quiet location about 20 minutes walk to the village or there is a bus stop outside (free). Rooms comfortable and super clean. Staff are excellent and very friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Very good food. Great swimming pool. Nice walks in the local area. Most enjoyable stay and I will be back next year.

Our stay at Alpenresort Eienwäldli was fantastic. The hotel is well located for enjoying Engelberg - an easy bus ride to many hikes, gondola, the train and more. The playground, playroom and pool were excellent. It was one of the best playgrounds I’ve come across anywhere. Our young child could have just stayed at the hotel and been happy.
The staff at the hotel was wonderful. Everyone was kind and helpful. It felt like the owners of the hotel really care about their guests. I cannot recommend it enough.

Absolutely loved the property and great view. The spa area was fabulous and a slide for my daughter that she loved. Highly recommend it to families.
