The place is truly lovely, and the people are incredibly welcoming. The hotel is family run, and you can really feel the warmth and care they put into everything. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home.

Both breakfast and dinner are absolutely worth it. The food is fresh, well prepared, and delicious, making each meal something to look forward to. It is a great way to start the day and end the evening.

Another big plus is the shuttle service. They kindly transport guests and luggage back and forth from the Wengen station to the hotel, which makes arrival and departure very easy and stress free.

Overall, it is a wonderful place to stay, with genuine hospitality and excellent service.

We recently stayed at Hotel Silberhorn and wanted to express how much we loved everything about our visit.
The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. A special mention goes to the food—it was absolutely delicious and exceeded our expectations! We thoroughly enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant.

Excellent location right next to the Wengen train station and 1 minute from the Männlichen Lift. Very friendly staff. Very good choice at breakfast. I was in a single room. The furniture and bathroom were dated, however, the bed was very comfortable and the shower excellent. The hotel was also spotlessly clean throughout. Had a very enjoyable stay.

Our stay at Hotel Alpenrose in Wengen was truly memorable. The hotel is perched in a stunning location, offering breathtaking views of the mountains and valley below. We stayed for three nights and were mesmerised each day by a different palette of colours painting the picture-perfect landscape.

The half board was a real highlight and absolutely worth it — dinners were delicious, comforting, and the perfect way to end a day of hiking.

This family owned business is truly amazing.

Our flights from the United States had some delays and hiccups as usual. So my wife informed the hotel that we will arrive late. When we arrived at our last train station, the owner picked us up himself. That’s how awesome they are. Their hotel is very clean, quiet and all the staff are very friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Just an update. We decided to extend our stay for a couple of days more. And as usual, they accommodated our requests with a smile.

If you are visiting Wengen, I would highly recommend this hotel 100%.

First, this hotel is in a great location, right across from the train station. However, it is old and in places appears to be held together by scotch tape. There is no sound proofing in the walls between rooms and you hear everything your neighbor is doing. Also there was no espresso machine (some instant coffee packs) or hair conditioner in the room. The towels were thin and scratchy. The drapes were old and the blackout portion didn’t cover the window.
With no AC how do you cool your room while keeping out smoke, noise, light, etc? Sadly, I think the days of no AC are over. I’d be happy to leave windows open but there are too many air pollutants from people smoking (they allowed smoking on the balconies), outdoor grills and fire pits, fireworks, you name it. There’s noise and then security (probably no one would break in but you never know). I lost a full night’s sleep from these concerns. Breakfasts were ok but I’ve had better in Europe. The hotel has half board but dinners were nothing to rave about.

We have just returned from our first stay in Switzerland and I am so so so happy that I chose the Alpenrose to stay. It is such a beautiful hotel. It’s location is beyond perfect. We had a superior Mountain View room which exceeded all my expectations. The evening meal was wonderful - we were only there for 5 nights but every single course, every single night was delicious. Breakfast was wonderful too and the ability to help yourself to hot drinks all day was so welcome. Spotlessly clean everywhere and staff all incredibly helpful and friendly. We will definitely be returning to Wengen and we will only stay at the Alpenrose - we left a little bit of our hearts there ❤️

We had such a lovely stay at the Alpenrose Hotel in Wengen. We thought that the location was perfect; a short walk away from the town but in a very quiet location with beautiful views of the Lauterbrunnen valley with the mighty Jungfrau in the background. The hotel has a lovely seating area outside to take in the stunning views and we were lucky enough to get a room on the top floor with a balcony view to die for. The room, whilst bijou, was well designed to make the most of the space with useful storage and shelving. It was actually provided more than enough space with a couple of chairs and the balcony. The only minor negative was that the bed mattresses were a little soft for our liking but we slept well. The communal areas of the hotel were really spacious and homely with lots of different seating areas. These areas were lovely to relax in and enjoy the complimentary coffee from the coffee machine whilst planning the next hike. The food at the hotel was outstanding. We are pleased that we chose the half-board option as the 5 course meals were a real pleasure. The chefs are very creative and we never had a repeat of any dishes during our stay. What really stands out about this hotel is though is the staff. From the first interaction by email to our arrival and stay, we could not have had better service from all the staff. Everyone was so helpful, friendly and attentive. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone else and very much hope to return in the future.
