Avoid this hotel if you expect even a minimum level of understanding or customer care.
I had to cancel my stay due to a documented medical emergency, including hospital discharge papers and an explicit recommendation for mandatory rest and no travel. Despite this, the hotel refused any refund, partial refund, voucher, or even a simple date change for next year.
I fully understand non-refundable policies, but there is also such a thing as professionalism, flexibility, and humanity. In this case, there was absolutely none.
The communication felt cold and purely bureaucratic, with zero willingness to help a client facing genuine health issues. Very disappointing experience, especially for a hotel in Geneva where one would expect a higher standard of service and hospitality.
I will definitely remember how this situation was handled.

This old-style architecture, mid-range hotel is probably one of the best hotels in Geneva. It is centrally located where you can have everything, as in everything, at a stone’s throw away. Best part is the view from your room, overlooking Rhone River (as you can see in my uploaded photos). Another best part are the hotel staff, especially Receptionist Sabrina who have been very helpful during my checkin, Receptionist Joseph who never got tired answering my tour package inquiries, Receptionists Alex, Marvin and Thomas who were always chatting with me every time I use the microwave. You guys are the true ambassadors of Hotel Des Tourelles, with your accommodating, naturally-cheerful and ready-to-help service. You showed me what really a Swiss hospitality is. Regarding the room, again, most rooms have the view of the Rhone River. Another best thing in the room is their fluffy pillows. The room has fridge, coffee and tea making facilities, fan (upon request) and basic toiletries (all-around-use bath gel). The room-for-improvement I can share is if they can bring back the breakfast, that would be fantastic. Second is if they can change the physical key to keycards. Lastly is if they can improve the sound-proofing of the room. Other than that, everything is (almost) perfect). Highly recommended and will certainly be back again.

The room was lovely and the heating worked well. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the hotel's location near the station was incredibly convenient. The only downsides were the lack of air conditioning and the bathroom ventilation, which could use some improvement.

This hotel is somehow an unexpected surprise for the international traveler. Super nice staff, excellent location, spacious rooms with great views and a style which feels classical and renewed at the same time, all for very decent prices. My new favourite in Geneva.

We stayed for 2 nights in September 2025 over a weekend.
The strategic location and the views across the Rhone river are unbeatable. We stayed on the 3rd floor in room 35. Although a bit small, the room & bathroom were very clean with crisp cotton sheets & duvets. The staff were very helpful and friendly and helped us to get the luggage into the elevator.
Public transport, shops and restaurants are all in easy walking distance. We parked at the nearby Finance Ministry parking garage which has quite reasonable rates.
Can recommend and would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is excellently located. One step out of the door turn left and left again and wonderful photo opp if the Lake Geneva Fountain. Great restaurants within walking distance in all directions. Lots of international cuisine on offer. Physically, the hotel is a bit tired but clean and the staff were very welcoming.

I've accidentally left my CHF1300 worth of gold ring in the room. Contacted the hotel manager, Sabrina. She was so helpful to help me find back my gold ring, and eventually help courier the gold ring all the way back to my country Malaysia.

Very convenient location and relatively inexpensive, helpful staff. Very safe. Room small and basic. Free public transport pass provided before arrival, which is extremely helpful because the city has very good transit system

Basic hotel with great location
Basic hotel for a great price. Our room had a great view of the river. There is a bit of road noise, no A/C, no breakfast and the bathroom is very small. They do email you Geneva transport cards so airport transfers are easy and free.
