Hotel: no opinion, came for brunch (5star default)

Service: for peak hours, they are understaffed. They had 2 people manning everything. But then again this place is so cramped that i dont think they can fit more people

Product: feels like what I would expect in a mountain hotel like steinbock. Buffet is small but filling. The space is a issue so when it opens its a huge queue

Environment: for the price and the decor I really expected nicer table. Old wine stains on the sugar shaker, paper placemat. Lovely surroundings but the table looks like its from a diner

I visited this hotel at the beginning of December to celebrate my birthday and was not disappointed. The rooms were perfectly clean, every detail was very neatly done. Shower was spacious and comfortable with nice lighting. There was also a small makeup mirror and storage space for your things in the bathroom. The whole room itself has a lot of storage space and useful furniture. I really liked the breakfast because there was my favourite Gorgonzola, fresh bread and pickled cucumbers which you won’t find in every hotel. Besides that there’s a variety of yogurts, cereals and jams. You can also find eggs for boiling and scrambled eggs. There were also three types of deli meats, a sausage and salted fish, some fresh cucumbers and tomatoes too. Of course there was a dessert selection, two types of juice and still water, coffee machine. I really liked the cups that they had in there. I’ve also had an opportunity to dine in the hotel restaurant and had a few drinks at the bar. I really loved the staff, especially a very kind woman who served me and my husband, I sadly don’t remember her name. I was very impressed by dessert menu, it was very cute. I haven’t seen something like that in a long time. It made me smile. After we’ve got the receipt, we received a tiny portion of marshmallows that we grilled right there on the table! It was very impressive. The hotel is also located in a perfect location, very close to the train station. Atmosphere there was very comfortable and friendly. It’s a good historic hotel, we have a spacious room, very comfortable and close to the train station.
But i am disappointed with breakfast. I read reviews about big breakfast etc etc, there is nothing like that. Very basic self serving breakfast, you have to pay extra if you want eggs made to order, i was not expecting this, otherwise there are boiled and scrambled eggs,.
For me, its a good hotel which could have been better.
Note - This hotel is not meant for Summer time, there is no AC in the rooms. Checkin closes at 10 pm.

One of the best places we have ever stayed at. We would be back again to lucern and stay here.

Great staff, great location, fantastic rooms, best breakfast we've ever had , dont get me started on the fresh honeycomb at breakfast, wow, Really made my breakfast and it was obviously a real hit as when we got there at 09.30 it was almost gone!

Family suite room was large enough for a family of 4. Breakfast was really good - a wide enough selection of high quality items. Staff were exceptionally hospitable, especially Linda who made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend.

The most creative hotel I've visited. Helpful and kindly staff, great food, wine, atmosphere. Shower gel so amazing that you have to buy it at home 😍

Navy themed, a mix of modern and rustic architecture.
Not much common space, but everything is very carefully cleaned, organized and looking amazing.
Some of the receptionists are not very courteous, don’t bother to answer greetings, but overall, ok.
Restaurant in some days a really hard to get a table, we were surprised that all restaurants we tried on a Saturday were fully booked, even the hotel’s.
Be aware that you might have to book restaurants in advance, even small and regular places.
Breakfast is 35 CHF, we ended up not having BF here.
Tv is pretty annoying, over 90% of the channels are in German, and tb does not allow you to chance language spoken nor subtitle’s. Also, it will not let you mirror from your phone, it is completely blocked, that threw me off, though.

Super hotel! Amazing service, so kinda people finding the best solutions for my problems ! Nice advaces for where go in town ! Beaaautiful bedroom, sooo confortable bed. Really good breakfast ! I totally recommend.

The service in hotel is fast and friendly. As for the room, it’s cozy and chic, good for travelers to take a good rest. 🥰🥰

Lovely ambiance, well-appointed rooms, excellent location, clean, friendly service — unfortunately the cocktails were a disaster. Save yourself the disappointment (and the money) by sticking to wine and/or beer.
