This hotel was once stayed in by Touma, making it a pilgrimage site for "White Album" fans. The room was very clean, and the breakfast was a traditional European spread, though not with many options. The hotel's location is excellent, with beautiful scenery all around.

Counter staff are friendly and attentive. The room is sparkling clean and huge. Good location, less than 10 minutes to the train station, and near the walking shopping street and Coop. I will recommend it to all my friends and family who come to Zurich.

Nice, charming hotel, but with the Swiss neatness and tidiness. Plus point is the Marshall amp sitting nicely in the room. At first I thought there was a fee of sorts, but no, it was complimentary, and you get to choose a guitar from a selection at the bar/reception! Will definitely be top choice if I return to Zurich.

The room was quite small, only enough space to open one suitcase. They made the most of the limited space, but it was really just a place to crash for one night. The breakfast was pretty good, with a good variety of options. In the lobby, you could get unlimited hot water and coffee. The hotel is also quite close to Zurich Central Station.

Breakfast was very good with wide range of selections. Black coffee/tea/still n sparkling water are provided in the hotel lobby. However is quite a distance walk from train station.

A very basic room with limited amenities of only bath towel, body soap and shampoo provided. No tea and coffee or bottle water in the room but there is a coffee and tea station at the reception area where you can also top up drinking water. Reasonably near zurich main train station but 15 min uphill walk with stairs and 30mim walk to old town. Nice receptionist who let us check in earlier

A pleasant stay at the hotel. The front desk staff namely Artem was very helpful and made the check-in process smooth and fast. The triple room was also well cleaned by Cristina and very comfortable. I had a great experience. There was only one issue with the cleaning people leaving the window open and when I came into the room it was freezing. The heat is controlled by the hotel and not the guest. The luggage storage was great. You have to pay for it using bounce. It was a great experience I had at this hotel. No complaints.

Really enjoyed this hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was good. And it is very near to a good Middle Eastern restaurant, a Star Market with great flatbread pizza, a bakery/Italian restaurant, and a tram stop. And the price is right.

Cozy hotel near the train station, which is why I chose it. The location is quite convenient, practically the city center. The rooms are neat, a solid three-star (hotel). I didn't like the shower with a curtain, neither in terms of size nor convenience, that's about it. The staff is very positive.

My stay here was excellent! The hotel's location is super convenient, really close to Zurich HB train station and an easy walk to Zurich Old Town. The hotel environment is also very comfortable, with a cozy and unique style. Hotel location is great, very clean and the room is exceptionally spacious. Area is very quiet and many restaurants around. Pillow and bed are not good pillow very very soft. The staff is not very helpful and no information given when we checked in.

The location is fantastic, and the hotel is very clean with a pleasant scent. Our room was also spotless, and the soundproofing was decent. The only downsides were that the elevator broke down during our stay and bottled water wasn't provided, but everything else was great.

Very good location. The No.8 Tram can be reached by bus with stop in the opposite side of Hotel, or by walking 1,5km, which brings you to the heart of Zurich, Bahnhofstrasse. Free parking. Also, in the opposite side of Hotel, there is a Coop Supermarket and a Fuel Station. The room is small, but you have what you need.

I came here for a business trip. Getting a taxi from the airport was relatively convenient, but the fare wasn't cheap. The hotel rooms were small, and the facilities were typical of a budget hotel. You need to bring your own slippers and other items. Breakfast was standard Swiss quality. There's a football field nearby, and the young men there played very well.

The hotel is a bit old-fashioned, but the front desk staff were very friendly. Breakfast was a little basic, but considering the price, it was actually quite good. It's about a seven or eight-minute walk from the HBF (main train station).

The hotel management reassigned me to a smaller room, citing that the originally allocated room had been given to guests staying for multiple nights. This practice is unprofessional and does not reflect appropriate service standards. May refer to the check in form I signed, the original room was 415, I was assigned 511.

Amazing location only a very short walk from the train station. Breakfast continental buffet was lovely and the staff very friendly. No heating in the room but then we found a Dyson air blower in the cupboard which heated the room nicely. We also requested extra pillows which were sent to our room promptly. Lovely staff. A simple hotel at a great price.

It was a good 1-night stay in the city. The location was near to the HB & neat to the attractions. Overall, it was a nice place for a short stay.

Excellent hotel, location close to station within walking distance

The Sternen Oerlikon is a hidden gem. The entire staff is warm and helpful, from the front desk, to the housekeeper to the breakfast waitress. The hotel is quiet and spotless and a less than 10 minute walk to the Orelikon HB.

Very warm welcome (especially considering it is a city hotel), the staff all very friendly, rooms clean and comfortable. The location is really well connected. I travel quite a lot and generally most hotels don't stand out - this one did - I would stay again next time I am in Zurich.

Staff very helpful and nice, rooms small but that is old town Zurich so expected. Breakfast good with variety. Cofffe and tea available all the time and even apples offered throughout the hotel. Very central in old town Zurich. Parking very difficult, but again expected in such a place. Again, staff helpful to help parking.

Location, location, location. The hotel is located in the heart of Old Town and within walking distance to all main areas. 10-15 min walk to the main train station. Staff was friendly too. There was construction outside the hotel but it's out of their control as we saw construction going on around all over Old Town area.

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of both the Old Town and the train station. The air conditioning worked exceptionally well, which was a lifesaver during the summer heat.

We had a nice stay. During check-in, Alicia was friendly and shared many recommendations around Zurich, which we appreciate. The room was adequate. We got lucky and they were able to get us into the room early which was a life saver for us having gotten in on an early flight. The front desk was always very friendly and helpful. The rooms were quiet as well we didn’t hear the guests on any side of us at all.

Great location to Old Town Zurich This hotel was perfect for an overnight layover between flights. It is in a perfect location to walk around the Old Town. Many very good restaurants are within walking distance as well as the major train station (HB). It’s only ~ 20 min from the airport. Right next to the Duomo, the location is absolutely fantastic. Although the room was a bit small, the designer made excellent use of the space, giving it a really artistic and comfortable feel. Plus, it was quiet!

Newly renovated with great taste for design without being luxurious but showing Swiss charm with loads of twinkle in the eye. Can absolutely recommend, finding a place like that in Zurich is good, really good. Only downside was one receptionist who was more arrogant than a cold Swiss granit stone, however his colleagues were all sweet. good value for money.

They locked the door with the key so my parents couldn’t enter their room on the 2nd day. Receptionist said: if you don’t pay for the breakfast  we don’t open your door. We were still staying for another and like everywhere in the world you always pay at check out. I stay here for 2 night its little bite far from the city but we can take the shuttle bus and train to go to central you just have to walk about 650kilometre to get to the bus station

The room is very clean and location is awesome. The price is a bit expensive, especially for solo travelers in single-bed room. The self check-in is convenient but I prefer the traditional methods via front desk staff and get a hardcopy card. As now we 100% rely on the phone which might be a bit risky. If you lose your phone in any accidents, how can you manage to come in?

We stayed at Fred Guest House on January 17, 2026, for one night. The location is convenient, about a five-minute walk from Zurich HB train station. The self-service check-in process was easy, and access details were sent shortly before check-in time. However, several guests, including us, were initially confused about how to enter. Less than a 10-minute walk from the train station. The room is a bit small but offers great value for money. There's a small common lounge area at the front desk where you can work, and they offer luggage storage.

Very basic apartment, does the job but you get what you pay for. We had a good stay but keep in mind this is not a luxury hotel.

The cleaning woman opened our room at least 3 times without knocking and with us inside. She wasn't nice. The tub pipes and the sink pipes were plugged. The heater didn't worked either.

This was a relatively affordable stay for Zurich. The room wasn't big, but the location was excellent as it was close to a tram station and only a 15-minute ride to the main train station.

Small hotel but great location. Breakfast was great, good selection of food and chef will cook your eggs how you like them. We got upgraded to a bigger room it was fantastic with a balcony and massive shower. Only problem no car parking, street or near by underground parking are your only options.

Very nice hotel in a quiet area near Kunsthaus. You can take the tram or walk downtown. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is a great place to stay and a good base to explore Zurich.
