5 star hotels in Zurich

Nice hotel , 5mins from subway, staff very helpful and nice.

The service was of excellence. From the moment of the greeting, I felt comfortable and attended to. Panagiotis delivered something more than “just another” service. This was an “over and beyond” experience. I want to thank you and the entire Renaissance team for delivering a moment that cannot be forgotten.

Great room, and the breakfast was delicious.

Great place, good services and easy access to city centre within walking distance

Large room, great view and nice location. There is a supermarket near the hotel, just 3 mins away on feet. The bar in front of the reception is nice too. Big enough and comfortable. Smoking area is nicely set. A couple of ashtrays, chairs, tables are all set. You don’t need to stand to smoke. All good for smokers.

I had an amazing experience! Everything was perfect from start to finish: warm welcome, professional service, and great attention to detail. A special thank you to Mr. Panagiotis — he was truly outstanding: remarkably helpful, attentive, and genuinely caring. He made all the difference and went above and beyond to ensure everything was smooth. I will definitely come back, honestly just for him. Highly...

Grace from the Executive Lounge was proactive and enthusiastic during check-in.

Room is big and clean. High floor has nice view.

The location is super convenient, right in the city center. It's about a 10-minute walk to Zurich HB (main train station), and there's a supermarket and the Limmat River nearby. It's also very close to the Swiss National Museum, Bahnhofstrasse, and the Old Town, making getting around incredibly easy. The room was clean and comfortable. We stayed in a renovated room in the north wing, so the facilities...

A very decent hotel and recommendable especially for first time travellers in Zurich. Location’s proximity to city central is lovely. Almost 10minutes away from everywhere. I strongly recommend Marriott Zurich!

Nice stay here Nice stay here Nice stay here Nice stay here Nice stay here Nice stay here

Delightful people and very comfortable room. We couldn’t get a restaurant reservation so be sure to book early

Amazing hotel! Everything inside is updated and feels like a new hotel. The staff is incredibly kind and courteous. Would definitely come back again.

Excellent stay. The hotel exceeded expectations in every way. The rooms are perfectly maintained, very clean, and well equipped. Housekeeping is outstanding and pays attention to every detail. The staff are professional, friendly, and always ready to assist. Overall, everything—from the rooms to the service and cleanliness—was absolutely perfect. Highly recommended.

As usual the staff went above and beyond to ensure a fantastic festive stay. There was a couple of issues that were listened to and promptly resolved by manager Natalie. We really appreciate excellent customer service. Kim & Henrik also really looked after us and our 2 small doggies so well in Saltz restaurant. Breakfast and dinner were fabulous. Merry Christmas to all at the Dolder and we look forward...

It honestly doesn’t get any better than this. Attentive and friendly staff, stunning property, spacious rooms, amazing views. The definition of a true 5 star experience. We will definitely be back!

A very nice hotel. Excellent service. The breakfast was also very good! The pool was comfortable. The outdoor balcony in the room was very pleasant. The hotel is a blend of an old castle and modern design, yet it feels perfectly harmonious. Overall, the quality is satisfying. I would definitely stay again. The hotel itself is worth exploring. There are many valuable paintings and antique furniture...

Magnificent in every way. The spa was relaxing with excellent services. The food was exquisite- we tried all of the restaurants. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The Dolder Grand is a magical place!

Had the best experience. Comfortable and Cozy

Paying HKD 18,000 for a 'deluxe' suite that didn't even include breakfast was already a shock. What's worse, the amenities were incredibly mediocre, barely reaching a three or four-star standard. I was thoroughly disappointed 🤦‍♀️. I have no idea how this place ended up at the top of Zurich's luxury hotel rankings – it's completely misleading.

Excellent, highly recommended.

My overall experience was just okay. The room felt a bit dated, and while the service was acceptable, I don't believe it deserves its top ranking on luxury lists. The interior decor was quite old-fashioned, but its location was certainly convenient.

The hotel's location is truly excellent. However, the service was a definite downside. I requested a toothbrush in the afternoon after checking in, but it wasn't delivered until 11 PM, just as I was getting ready for bed. What a midnight hassle!

The rooms were beautiful, and the hotel itself was lovely. Breakfast was delicious, and the place had a wonderful ambiance. It's a highly recommended hotel; while not cheap, it's absolutely worth the price. It's situated in the financial district, right next to China Construction Bank. Nearby, there's a supermarket, a tram stop, and plenty of Thai restaurants. My overall experience was excellent.

Some places don’t need to be loud to leave an impression. Spent an hour in the lounge at Baur au Lac over tea and dessert while the rain settled softly outside over the lake. The atmosphere is what truly sets it apart — understated, calm and impossibly refined without ever feeling performative. There’s a quiet confidence to the space. Soft conversations, impeccable service, warm lighting and that...

The most delicious food I’ve had in Zurich! I was quite fortunate to come during Alba truffle season and enjoy some of their delicious alba truffle pasta, I also really loved the lobster bisque and langoustines they were impeccable! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone coming to Zurich!

We came here with expectations a bit on the high side, this being an age old Zurich establishment and all! We had the Brunch at their Baur Brasserie which is what this review is mainly for. We tried their Eggs Benedict, Rosti with Broccoli, poached egg and hollandaise sauce, kids menu items like waffles and pasta, drinks like Bloody Mary, Cappuccino. Overall food was above average but again nothing...

Had a wonderful dinner with extraordinary food and an esoecialy good sommelier. Try the Dover sole, even better than Le Bernardin! Slightly disappoint ling was the hardness of the rosti and the lack of ice cream in the profiteroles. Super nice people working there and pleasant atmosphere.

Baur’s is a beautifully designed restaurant. The interiors are warm, refined, and thoughtfully styled, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed yet upscale meal. We ordered the lobster soup and the rocket salad to start. The lobster soup was flavorful with a nice depth, though I personally would have loved it to be slightly creamier. Still, it was enjoyable and well executed. The rocket salad was...

The Best Hotel , best view , best service , good location. I'm recommend

Exceptional stay with my family. The hotel located in the heart of town , near to all the transportation , it's very convenient for us to travel around Switzerland, while we enjoyed the peace and comfort of the rooms. The staff was friendly. We are waiting to come back here again with my family See you soon

The room was incredibly small; in Zurich, where space is at a premium, we couldn't even fully open two large suitcases. However, the location is excellent, right opposite the train station, making it super convenient to cross the street and arrive right after stepping off the train. It offers absolutely no value for money and is only suitable for those with a lot of luggage needing to transfer at the...

It's just opposite the train station, and there's an underground exit that leads directly to the hotel entrance, making it very suitable for a transfer on the day you first arrive. The hotel's breakfast is excellent, the restaurant environment is very high-end, and the service is very considerate!

Good hospitality and strategic location. Breakfast spread is decent.

We stayed in Hotel Schweizerhof in Zurich. It’s just opposite the Zurich HB, the bahnhof. Love its convenient location and luxurious atmosphere😂😂

Good location, good breakfast, nice environment, but no parking in front of the door

We are pleased with our stay, room comfort and sleep quality was outstanding. There were two top quality comforters on a super king bed - this was the first time in our decades of traveling experience that we had something like this, like we have in our own home. The service is top quality - professional and crisp but not servile. It is as it should be.

The hotel looks aesthetically nice and clean with very good location . Services are under 5 star hotel level, for example , room service( in dining) only available till 10:30 pm, amenities in the room are very limited , no kettle , no coffee machine, no ironing tools , we have to ask for each single item. No gym available within the hotel building . Customer services are below average , it was not...

Truly beautiful, with a comprehensive wellness package. Attentive staff and a beautiful room.

I have stayed at the Savoy regularly for work since last summer. I am always impressed with the consistently high level of service. The staff are always friendly, polite, and professional. The rooms are immaculately clean, and the food is excellent. The location is also ideal: just a 2 minute walk from the lake, and right on the main shopping street. Whether you are in Zurich for work, or for leisure...

This a a really lovely hotel with great food and very comfortable beds. The staff are very efficient and extremely friendly. They will go out of their way to do anything that could possibly improve your day. The location is the best - right in the heart of the old town and right by a tram stop. So convenient if you arrive to Zurich by train. The breakfast was also great - poached eggs that AREN'T overcooked...

Classical European hotel, the rooms are classic and have the European classic feel. The beds are extremely comfortable. The location of the hotel is great right in the center of old town and close to all the shops. The staff was nice, friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this hotel, only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star, is one evening the staff at the restaurant wasn’t so pleasant...

Excellent stay! Located in an affluent part of the city a couple of blocks from the main shopping precinct and the old town, a short walk to the Christmas markets. Everything can be covered on foot. The room (extra large category) was well decorated, near new and well set out. breakfast service was very good and food fresh. Check in and out efficient. Rooms were also quiet.

I have visited the hotel for vacation period, the welcoming is so nice, clarifications about all facilities and advise even on the attractions ongoing as am on vacation with advises on what to do as first visit. I like the evening refreshing which Marriott is famous with. Enjoyed my 3 nights, staff so nice and welcoming, guest service very fast. Special thanks for Liza for her help with lovely smile...

We stayed here in early September and enjoyed it. Our room was nice, with dark oak wood, leather details, and really comfortable bedding. The location is perfect, close to the lake and easy to walk into the city or reach the business district. Check-in was quick and professional, and the service overall was good. The only thing that felt a little underwhelming was the lobby, which is quite small for...

Review: From the moment we arrived we felt special. The kind porter took our luggage upstairs where Christine at reception warmly greeted us with a drink of choice (we enjoyed Prosecco) and upgraded room due to our permanent platinum status. We chose complimentary breakfast which was exceptional. It is buffet plus one egg item from the menu. Our omelettes were so good! As was the coffee. Luke and his...

A hotel with a good location, right in front of the lake and a nice environment. However, the price is really too expensive, and the overall price is just average. It's really too expensive. Zurich is crying.

We had a small window in Zurich before heading off to Zermatt, a friend recommended the Widder and it was wonderful! From the moment we walked in the staff were so warm and welcoming; rooms are large, fabulous bathrooms, magical touches in every room. Really fun! The staff really take the level of stay to the next level, from the old world ambiance of the happening bar to the breakfast bonanza....

It is my 48th visit to this unique hotel. It speaks of itself as to my level of satisfaction. Me and my children consider it as our home in Zurich.

For me the hotel was very odd. If you like historical details you may love this. It’s all shiny and marble and steel and a glass elevator and sort of maybe was cool thirty years ago mixed up with stone floors in your room and a bathroom from maybe twenty years ago. They forgot to do my turndown services the reception lady did seem upset when I told her but it was done with then. They give you a nice...

By far the best quality and most aesthetic hotel experience in Zurich. Staff, rooms, restaurants and bars are all 5star+++.

La Réserve Eden is a nice small luxury hotel, very well place in front of the Zurich lake, at walking distance of several points of interest at the heart of the city. I booked a room with a large terrace on the first floor. The terrace is quite nice, although I was not able to fully enjoy it due to the May weather, cold and windy during my stay. And the street just below it (Utoquai) is rather busy...

I have stayed in other La Reserve hotels but the Zurich Eden au Lac is now my favourite. Fantastic interiors - comfort and furnishings. Super staff - all. The general manager Nicole Zandt greeted me when I arrived and later helped me secure a table in the rooftop restaurant which in the warm weather is apparently always over subscribed. The hotel also introduced me to Sparkling Tea 'Champage' - a much...

A place with history - yet modern - elegant and casual at the same time. Settled almost directly at the Lake. Very close to Opera House surrounded by nice shops and restaurants. Definetly the posher part of Zurich.

WOW! luxury hotel in every sense of the work. Perfectly positioned for walking the city. Lovely staff, very attentive. We had a room overlooking the water and a balcony, very nice indeed. Make sure you have a meal in the restaurant, great experience. All in all 5 star!

A great hotel! Perfect location and top service. We spent a night there, the room was amazing with direct view to the Zurich lake.

I would have given this hotel 5 stars except it is not on the Lake but a main street is in front. I had ordered a room with a lake view with a terrace thinking that there was no street. However, it was quiet at night but I am sure during the summer it probably will be noisy. The rooms are well appointed and very clean. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The breakfast is very good.

Room was perfect . We had a view overlooking the river and the swans . Breakfast and dinner was incredible. Staff were friendly and very attentive. A perfect spot to start our vacation.

I stayed at Storchen Zürich during a solo business trip and was truly impressed. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of Zürich, yet peaceful with beautiful views over the Limmat River. The room was elegant, quiet, and very comfortable — perfect for relaxing after meetings. The high-speed Wi-Fi and thoughtful amenities made working from the room effortless. Service was outstanding from...

Nice hotel in the city center right by the lake, however with the extremely high price point I expected more from this hotel. Booked a lake view room and the view was nice, but rooms were small and not much was included with the stay, not even breakfast, so at almost $1000 a night i would not consider this hotel worth it and would not stay here again.

The hotel and my room were excellent. The staff was helpful and the location was outstanding.

Location is the best riverside and many good restaurants

Everything about this property was exquisite. The room, service, location, everything. The ONLY drawback was attempting to get there to park. It is in the old town that seems like it is pedestrian only. It was VERY nerve-racking driving down those streets packed with people to get there. Once there, it was ideal.

Great location and service. Big room

I ordered room service one night as it was storming and it never came . I had to call and ask why . Then none of the items were available. Other than that , excellent hotel , great location and staff was excellent. Would recommend the property despite what happened

If you're looking for a truly exceptional experience in Zurich, look no further than the Hotel Alden. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. We were hoping to visit the Lindt Chocolate Factory, only to find it completely sold out. The concierge team, however, worked their magic and managed to secure us tickets! That alone would have been enough...

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our stay here. Immediately welcomed by warm staff, our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. We loved having coffee on the balcony every morning. The location is perfect and close enough where everything is walking distance but without being in the middle of the crowds. Katrina from the front desk radiates kindness and made us feel at home from...

This hotel exceeded ALL of our expectations! It’s gorgeous, the rooms are HUGE. And the service is even better! We came for a vacation to celebrate our 12 year wedding anniversary and i was nervous to pick a hotel coming from a different country but it was the best choice i could have made! From checking in to checking out and everything in between, everything was amazing. Ivan and Kaltrina are the...

Kaltarina made the last days of our honeymoon so memorable and meaningful. From the moment we walked into Hotel Alden, she was beaming with energy and excited to welcome us in. She was very professional yet somehow, made us feel right at home. She was very thorough with explaining the hotel amenities and helping us navigate Zurich public transportation. She gave us multiple restaurant recommendations...
