I’m not a fussy traveller, people are great and host is nice

Pros: An absolutely excellent place to meet fellow travelers. Aircon works GREAT and best WiFi of the trip I’ve had in Tajikistan 🇹🇯 so far: social uploads and video decent enough. My solo room was quiet, the bed comfortable and good pillows! I appreciate you can hang laundry to dry on the railings. Cons: No bath mat for the bathroom and a ridiculous open shower so you can’t help but get the floor soaked. Towels aren’t that effective: too soft and velvety. There is a drainage smell that lingers and was quite powerful in the AM. Price doesn’t include breakfast but there is a kitchen to make your own food. Also the location sucks for sightseeing in Dushanbe so don’t stay here unless you want to walk over an hour to reach sights.

Rahmat Aziz, Khushbakht & Murad: kindly helpful staff. Barely more than a stroll up the road from the airport: a rare pleasant novelty, with no need to heed the customary gaggle-gang of taxi-drivers nor fumble to seek out a bus or tram. Compare this with Manas, Kyrgyz, which is nearer the Qazaq border than Bishkek. Rustic location a few blocks in from ultra-modern Ayni Street, a corner shop just by; though a bit dark, seemed safe enough at night. Attracts quite the international gathering of cyclists & bikers, many with plans on the Pamir highway: a good melting pot. Old style house with plenty character, dorm quite comfy, socket & lamp by bed, WiFi pretty ok. A bit of pressure on bathroom use, but not too bad, kept clean enough. Bit of pressure on kitchen use too, but I was out and about anyway. Excellent friendly choice as base in Dushanbe, and great value.

Decent place to stay. For the price, ticks all the boxes. Plenty of supermarkets and food within walking distance. Close to the airport only a dollar USD in a taxi to get there. No chair in room. Bathroom smelt a bit but room had a window. Air Con worked really well. Staff were helpful. No lift so need to walk up stairs to room but it is fine. Would recommend.

The private room was small, but perfectly adequate and reasonably priced. The real highlight for us was the incredible help Murad offered during our stay and throughout our onward travel. He was very generous and always ready to offer assistance which has a very positive impact on our time in Tajikistan.

I would like to thank the staff of this hostel for being ready to help, to explain everything at any moment. Everything is fine in the hostel, single bunk beds, the rooms are cool, which helped a lot in such a heat. There is also a lot of space, a lot of people from different countries with whom you can make friends and share travel experiences during your stay. For the price this is a great hostel.

What a great place to rest after or before exploring the Pamir. Staff is very friendly, rooms are clean and overall everything is well maintained. Suitable for adventurers looking for a bed in dormitory as well as couples thanks to very affordable private rooms (we paid 220 somoni per night for the room). The small inside courtyard allows you to safely park your bicycle or motorbike. Location is great. Moreover, taxis are very cheap so it will cost you 1 or 2 euros to reach any place in the city. We highly recommend.

Hostel is perfectly well located, near airport (you can go by bus, or few minutes taxi), and walking distance to restaurants, supermarkets, etc. I believe it is a family business, they are extremely helpful, kind. They speak English and the will help you in any way you need. I stayed in private room, huge, with private toilet, but most travelers stay at dorms. Kitchen is big, well equipped and clean. It seems to be “THE HOSTEL” to go to if you are in the city in between treks and trips.
