There were no places, although they blocked it, I had to rent in another hotel

Highly not recommended! We didn't stay and lost the money we'd paid for our well-advanced reservation. The manager first denied it was the property we'd booked, and after showing us around Stone Town looking for our place, we returned and said it was FULL!!!! We were then bounced to a dilapidated property, claiming it was the same. On the second day, we booked a B&B on our own, losing our money. DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY!!!!

Run down. Not retro.
Just generally speaking, it was desapointing. The person in charge of registration was very rude to us. We Aldo overheard them speaking very curtly to other travellers. The place was very run down. The shower head broke off as soon as we turned the water on... Even though we had paid for our stay in full, we ended up finding another place to stay. Too bad. The location is good and the place looks charming from outside.

The front desk staff was out of this world, he explained to us how to go about town and even gave us advice on how to interact with the locals. The breakfast was exquisite 😋 the rooms are very spacious.
