Antonio Garden Hotel in Zanzibar City

The place was great, staff was great. The maasai workers were helpful, especially Elias! The breakfast was good. The place was clean. I didn't rate it 5 star because it didn't have any real wow factors, but it was still a pleasant stay. Location: Conveniently located to many places in stone town. And very close to the highly recommended restaurant Luk Maan! Steps away from forodhani gardens/market and other popular sites. We didn't hear much noise, it was quiet. NOT ACCESSIBLE BY TAXI! ensure the taxi driver walks you to the location as it can be a bit tricky if you dont have access to GPS. Service: Overall was very good, i have no complaints it was a nice stay. Cleanliness: cleaners regularly came in to clean and left cute snacks on the bed. Pool: The pool was great, very deep i'm 5'6 and had to tread. So if you're not a swimmer, be mindful as no life guard on duty. It was beautiful, but could have been cleaner. Food: we missed breakfast the first day, but were able to have it the remaining days and it was always good. The restaurant which hosted breakfast was very cute with swings and canopy trees and the pool. I would give that area 5 stars for visual appeal. What I would have loved to see was bottled water being offered in the room. They did provide water, but it wasnt in a sealed container so I personally felt u comfortable drinking it.

The hotel is in a very convenient location. It is a short walk to the Forodhani Gardens and the former Slave Market. There are several restaurants closeby especially a very popular one Lukmaan. The area around the hotel is bustling in the day and quiet at night. A taxi cannot drive up to this property so you will to do a short walk through the streets to get there. The staff were friendly and always greeted us. They were helpful when we called for assistance with anything we needed to clarify with the room. The room was very clean and maintained throughout the day. The bathroom and bedding were clean. The common areas for breakfast and by the pool were also clean. Any messes in the common areas were cleaned promptly. The bed is a firm mattress but it was comfortable. The room was quiet at night and during the day we could only hear the fountain in the main area faintly. The wifi connection was strong while we were on the premises. The breakfast was delicious offering a variety of options that changed daily. It included meat, cooked vegetables, fresh fruit, local pastries as well as coffee and tea. They prepare eggs to your liking upon request. The pool is a decent size and calm. It has a short shallow end then becomes quite deep. Beware that there is no indication of how deep it at actually is. Overall, I think the price was fair for the quality of the stay. We had an enjoyable stay at Antonio Garden Hotel and would recommend this hotel for your stay in Zanzibar.

Very good value for money. Staff are especially accommodating and very nice. Rooms were clean with regular turn downs and aircon and mosquito net. Coffee and tea for the rooms and great location for walking Stone Town and the pool is lovely! Plus the prettiest hotel cat and a buffet breakfast. If/when we return, we will definitely stay again.

We had a problem with airconditioner . But was fixed super fast . We were so impressed. We will return as the hotel is so good in all areas

Excellent location, five-plus room. Food and service are excellent. A touch of local color only adds charm! I highly recommend this hotel, you will not be disappointed!
