The resort is the best. I had an amazing experience here . It was the best vacation I’ve ever had. I enjoyed everything. Definitely coming back again.
We are currently staying at one of the best resorts we have ever visited and we’ve travelled lots! The reception area was welcoming and friendly, especially Abou. The staff are incredibly kind, polite and the friendliest people. The rooms are beautiful and well equipped. We are in room 208, which has a gorgeous view of the sea. Lovely gestures from the cleaning team, with beds turned in every night...
We had an Amazing time. The Staff was Absolutely amazing we had Royalty treatment the whole 9 days. The Pools was emaculate clean the Entertainment was a great verity and very entertaining World Class. Really 5 Star. Scola the manager was very helpfull and friendly as so was our Waiter ROSE and all the others was very helpful. My self and my friend celebrated our Birthday's and we're treated like...
Certainly! Here's an exceptional review for Sea Cliff **A Slice of Paradise at Sea Cliff Resort** I recently had the privilege of staying at Sea Cliff Resort in Zanzibar, and it was an unforgettable experience that truly exceeded all my expectations. People were so welcoming, the room was spotless clean and the breakfast was amazing.
There is no beach. Dining options limited Not enough lighting on the walkways
Pros: Beautiful grounds and resort overall. Very esthetically pleasing to the eyes. The rooms were clean. Cons: Review for hotel verde…. For the price of the resort there’s a few things that did not sit well with us… 1. Forced to participate in gala’s/food buffets for the holidays (Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve). This is not advertised, you are emailed about 1 week prior to arrival...
The food was excellent at this property. Chef Livingston prepared great food full of flavor. You could tell that he enjoyed his job. The property was very clean and the staff were very personable. I really appreciated the hotel’s efforts to sustainability.
I visited zanzibar for business and this property is ideal for leisure and business. I stayed 2 nights rooms are clean, staff are friendly.
The hotel staff were brilliant and we loved the hotel’s real commitment to sustainability. Meals (outside of breakfast) were not as good as expected and the hotel’s zero alcohol policy needs to be much more widely advertised rather than just a footnote

We loved the atmosphere and location Very helpful personnel Special thanks to Said, Guest Relation Manager and we loved the barman of the pool bar Mohamed Ali, always smiling and really running to offer his service Generally we enjoyed our stay
The hotel is beautiful, looking exactly like the photos. They indulged us in a lovely Valentine's Day dinner with great entertainment. You should also try their spa as it is relaxing.
this hotel was nice and very clean, happy and helpful staff

Maru Maru was a great find for our group trip to Stone Town. The location was great. We enjoyed the roof top restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend and stay there again.
I booked this hotel for my Mother while she was in Zanzibar. She loved the place. The room was large and very clean. The restaurant offered delectable dishes. When she arrived there was some confusion with the booking. The front desk was so kind and helpful to my Mom and made her arrival a pleasure.
Worth a stay but set your expectations right. Stone town is historical and quite a unique vibe. Loved walking up and down the stone baths between tall buildings with souvenir shops on the ground floor and private residences up top. Hotel itself is nothing spectacular but it does the trick for a one night stay before heading to the beaches. Rooftop restaurant service is annoyingly slow and overall...
I live in Zanzibar and like to spend my free time after work mostly on the rooftop of the Maru maru Hotel. The hotel management as well as the waitresses and employees, such as Hilda, are all incredibly nice, courteous and helpful. I feel very well taken care of. The drinks are all delicious and are prepared quickly. The food also tastes delicious and the view over Stone town completes the whole...
The Maru Maru is a hidden gem in Stone Town. The roof top restaurant is hidden away from view but does provide visitors with view of the ocean and harbor. The place is a busy and popular one so expect some waiting time when ordering. Staff are friendly and helpful. Menu offers a decent selection and Choice. Wind down after your stone town visit and savor the sites and Sounds of this historic part...
Hotel didn’t disappoint - everything seemed to work. Rooms decent, air con worked, hot water available, bathrooms clean and stocked, bed was comfy, breakfast had a good range from cheeses, cold cuts, continental foods and indian dishes. I came with friends to see the sea. It is in the center of Stone Town and has a good location. Overall it is good and I will choose it again if I have the chance.
Good, could be great with some changes.
The location is in Stone Town, which is convenient for sightseeing. It is a very good hotel in the area with good facilities, but it is a bit expensive
It's not new, but very beautiful. When we checked in, they said there were no sea view rooms, what a pity...; The hotel is on the west side of the island. Don't forget to find a sunset cruise to watch the sunset, which is the highlight of the hotel on the west side of the island.
Right in the heart of Stone Town, you can go downstairs to the beach. There are fresh coconuts for breakfast, but they are not sweet enough. Haha, maybe the African coconuts are not the right variety, they don't feel sweet enough. The overall service facilities are good and meet the standards of a 5-star hotel.
The hotel is beautiful. It is located at the heart of Stone town. If you like luxury than this hotel is for you. I’m definitely going to go back. The food and the friendly staff made my stay extra special.

I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Stone Town. It is close to all the attractions. There is a wonderful restaurant on the roof with a view, where it is always cool. The food is delicious. There is a swimming pool and a coffee shop. The rooms are comfortable, with air conditioning, hot water and bathrobes. Cleaning is top notch.

The BEST hotel in stone town! The staff make you feel at home. This hotel is the true definition of “home away from home!” Can’t wait to be back!
Very nice staff. Great food and rooms were nice. I liked the hotel was right off the beach.
This hotel is extraordinarily beautiful and sits right on the ocean. We stayed here for 2 nights after a safari in Tanzania and loved every moment. The ambience is reminiscent of fairy tales from 1000 and one night, magical. The staff was super friendly, especially Chriss was very nice and courteous. Beautiful family hotel. I came here to thank their staff member Rabia. She checked all of us in and every time we had a question she was more than happy to answer. Very ok, I will carry your luggage for you throughout the trip
The price/performance ratio is good for an all-inclusive hotel in Zanzibar. The beach outside the hotel is very beautiful. The sunset is super beautiful. I spent three nights happily.
If you like the local style, this hotel is the best among the hotels and is highly recommended. Because it is right by the sea, there will be crows as your companions during the open breakfast. If you are afraid, just sit under the eaves!
The room is very big and the electrical appliances are Chinese brands! The beach is right at the door, so it's convenient to go out to the sea. The hotel has three swimming pools and the children had a lot of fun. It's very convenient to go to Stone Town, just a few steps away.

The place is really nice, but noisy and at some point especially from 3pm as there several sports activities around the beach area. The beach is really dirty and not taken care of.
I stayed at this resort for weeks and it was worth my money spent. Amazing service by the staff. Delicious food! Not forgetting the fresh different types of juice served in the morning . I will definitely go back there.

Very good hotel, good environment, good service, a small beach, clean swimming pool. We booked a one-price package with three meals included, and the food was very good and it felt very worthwhile.
Zanzi Resort is the best hotel experience. Love the late breakfast until 12 in the room in front of our private pool. The breakfast is super awesome and I would argue that it is better than most top breakfasts in the Nordics - even the ones that win breakfast awards. Love the fact that they don't have a room service fee and you can buy stuff for the villa at any time. Private place and very...
Wonderful place that exceeded expectations! Really professional and good service with proud, skilled and attentive staff. Wonderful exotic surroundings. Personalised, romantic, familiar and very private. Amazing decor and wonderful villas. The food has been beyond expectations and varied greatly. Can highly recommend Zanzi resort!
The location was a combination of beach and jungle. The room was excellent, comfortable and clean. It had a bedroom plus a living room and you could exit both onto the private garden which led down to the beach. We also had a pool. The room was cleaned daily and water, etc updated. The grounds were lovely and paths kept clean of leaves etc. Finally, the staff were brilliant. I am unable to name...
This place is a Paradise in Paradise. We were accommodated in the Superior Garden Villa which was perfectly decorated for its setting and came with its own plunge pool . I went for a corporate lunch with my company and was well impressed with the excellent service by the staff. They were professional, proactive, and personable. Our team enjoyed themselves as the overall food was fantastic with a great view!
A few minutes drive from Stone town. A great place to go when you can't swim in the sea because of the tide. A big swimming pool with only a few selins if you are not resident of the hotel and they gibe you a towel to use while there. The staff there was really polite and always with a smile!

It was incredible. The staff was very accommodating, the resort is absolutely stunning, and there is lots to do on the property. The receptionist Carol is fantastic and I will definitely be coming back here. They made it first time in Zanzibar very memorable.
This is supposed to be a 4 star Resort. Our room towels were changed on day6. We had no fridge in the room. The coffee station was only filled on day 2 and day 6. Great resort but giving it a 3 as they were busy with construction when we were there which is not ideal. Rooms never had any coffee only tea. Amazingly friendly staff. Great view of the ocean, not ideal to go and tan on the beach, but next to the pool and bar is great.
Great resort. Amazing team. The reason it's a 4 and not a five is because of the same breakfast menu everyday and the beach which is not great to swim in because of the mud like sand in the water. Lunch and Dinner on the other hand are great. Amazing SPA as well

It is a pretty neat lodge with a dynamic staff and great service. I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the suburbs while visiting Zanzibar. The only downer was the road to the lodge. Hotels in the neighborhood should put together funds to fix the bizillion potholes.

Staff are nice. But facilitates are bad. Elevators always did not work . It was hard to carry luggages to fourth floors
The hotel is between the coastal town of Znz and Nungwi (actually nungwi is further but the traffic to town is crazy) They were kind enough to elevate our hotel experience with an anniversary set up

Very good! Good room, good facilities, good service. Right by the sea, beautiful scenery, convenient.
The hotel is built on an old house. To be fair, it is very unique. Some corners of the hotel are very photogenic during the day, but the shortcomings are also obvious.
