Banana Resort in Koh Phayam

I had to stay here for two nights over New Years, since The Starlight Resort was booked those days. It was awful, filthy, roach-ridden, no locks for the door, old bamboo walls you could see through. No toilet seat...and more expensive than the Starlight

DO NOT STAY THERE!!

We had the most terrible night at this resort!!!!
We have booked 5 nights but after the first night, we couldn't sleep there anymore due to the massive dirt, animals crawling around everywhere and the drunk staff of the Resort partying in front of our bungalow until 2:30 am!
Everything is just dirty and there is trash everywhere in front of the bungalows.
The bungalows themselves are in a really bad condition. We couldn’t open the door or the windows because all the hinges are so rusty and the wood is completely warped. Inside the bungalow everywhere you look is dirty and really unsanitary. I think nobody did clean anything there for months.
The toilet was still dirty even though we’ve cleaned it ourselves. The sink in our bungalow has dirty and bad smelling water in it because it is hanging askew from the wall.
The bed, the sheets, the pillows just everything was musty and after 5 minutes lying in it our whole body started itching.
Important:
As we’ve heard from other resort managers the owner changed two years ago. They told us, that other tourists had the same problems there and have changed their accomodation.
The new manager is the most impolite, rude and arrogant person we’ve ever met! He doesn’t care about his customers. We didn’t have any locker on our bungalow and also no water which was promised to us.
After 1 hour waiting we saw the manager chilling in his hammock, smoking and listening to music. So asking him again about the stuff all he said was „take the water from bar on the beach“.
The next morning we tried to speak to the manager about the situation but all he did was telling us „no money back“ and then started to made fun of us along with his staff telling us we should go on and write a bad review on google he doesn’t care.
We stayed 6 weeks in Thailand and never had such a bad experience all around the country.
We also had much cheaper and simpler accommodations but the thing is, all of them were clean and had nice stuff.
And that’s the important thing which the people at Banana Resort not seem to care about!
So believe us, here we learned our lesson. We lost 2.700 Baht for an bad and overpriced bungalow!
