Chomjan Resort in Koh Phayam

The Chomjan Beach Resort scores points with its great location right on the beach. Additionally, the scooter rental offered was very flexible and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the negative aspects significantly outweigh the positives. The room appears old and poorly maintained. Doors and windows leave wide gaps through which insects especially mosquitos can easily enter the room. Upon arrival, the water from the faucet and shower had an extremely unpleasant, putrid smell. After a complaint, the drain was treated, which made it bearable but not good. The lounge chair on the balcony was heavily worn, making it undesirable to use. During our stay, no staff were visible, and the restaurant was always empty, likely due to the off-season. Problems had to be reported by phone and then waited for until someone showed up. There is no room service. There are better alternatives in the area
