Phayamas Private Beach Resort and Island Brew - Adults Only in Koh Phayam

This is hands down one of the best resorts we have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The staff taking care you at check in are simply amazing and really does everything in their power to make your stay a memorable one. The food is absolutely wonderful in the restaurant - the variety is great and everything we had tasted wonderful. The location itself is just simply worth the trip - and Koh Phayam is a remote location! But this also ensures a certain charm I thought lost to us in 2026. I am so happy to have discovered this location, and I hope it stays this way for as long as possible. There are Hornbill birds very close to the resort, and they are not shy - that was a first timer for me, and I won't forget that any time soon. The resort has it's own brewery, and being a huge fan of white beer, I was so pleasantly surprised by the Passionfruit White Beer - it's the best beer I ever had ＜3 Rent a motorbike and discover everything the island has to offer! There is absolutely no doubt - we will be back! A huge thanks to everyone at Phayamas for making our stay the highlight of this winter.

The place is beautiful, quiet, and very private (I visited during the rainy season). I loved the wooden balcony area; sitting and chatting with the cool breeze was wonderful. The breakfast was excellent and delicious. The room was beautifully decorated, clean, and had separate hot and cold bathroom rooms. However, the pillows had a musty, tired smell.

I really liked the hotel. The hosts were very friendly, and there was a sea view 🌊 and an outdoor gym nearby.

I stayed here for two nights after staying at their sister resort in the other side of the island (Ziggy Stardust). This is most definitely a few steps up from Ziggy Stardust and from what I could tell probably one of the best resorts on the island. The resort is quiet as it’s for adults only (no kids running around) and the rooms are large, clean and extremely comfortable. This was the most comfortable mattress I have slept on during my entire 10-day trip from Phuket to Koh Phayam. The food is great (mostly the same menu as in Ziggy Stardust) although they ran out of some options and the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The young man with glasses at reception (sorry, I forgot his name) was fantastic! This is the sunrise side of the island and although the beach isn’t as big as Aow Yai it was still nice and the pool is a great added benefit too. The only issue I had was that I couldn’t get a late check out because they needed my room on my departure day. This is obviously not their fault and not something I blame them for but I couldn’t even sit and have a meal at their restaurant while waiting for my afternoon ferry because a large group of seniors had occupied every seat in the shade (I’m guessing they were waiting to check in and were the reason I couldn’t get a late check out). A shame as I would’ve wanted to stay the last few hours I had on the island relaxing there but instead had to leave and look for somewhere else. But just a little detail that didn’t in any way diminish my experience there. Definitely worth a visit!

Very quiet, huge private beach and very friendly staff. We will be back

We had an excellent stay and wished we could stay longer. The service started with the complementary pickup at the pier. At our arrival at the resort we wete welcomed with a cold drink and refreshing towel. The have a great cook in the kitchen. The food was delicious and locally grown. The resort was very ecologically concerned. The houses were great. Spacious with a king bed, an inner (cold) shower and an outside warm shower. There was an isdue with our boat back to Ranong we didn’t know of. The staff took proactively action including calling our travel agent to arrange that the taxi would be there on time in Ranong. Only then we were informed. Talking about keeping the stress away! I highly recommend this resort and would go back in a heartbeat.

We stayed 5 nights at this well run place. Very kind and enthousiast staff. They are ECO, by providing you with refill bottle for water, making up your room and changing towels/bed linnen only on demand. and stimulate collecting waste from the natural beach. 👍👍 We booked directly on their website. Lovely quiet natural beach but with only eight sun-beds, some in very bad shape. Also the pool had limited sun-beds and parasols available. This stimulates guests to reserve pool beds by their towel. Awful habit! (So 4 star instead of 5).

Phayamas has been our home away from home for four seasons now, only interrupted by the pandemic. This time for exactly one month. The location is perfect, in a strategic position in the middle of the island. We love to take walks along the beautiful beach in the mornings, and bike around the island during the day. Although Phayamas feels perfect, it manages to get a little better every year. The staff is amazing and so is the restaurant. Our bungalow was large, with AC and indoor and outdoor shower. The bed is really comfortable. We have already booked our 5th time.

Very good, there is sunrise again, the service is very good, I will definitely come back
