Baan Pakgasri Hideaway in Lanta Island

I was a bit apprehensive ahead of our stay due to some of the bad reviews, however we had a totally different experience. This was my favourite stay of our Thailand trip. The bungalows are well located, set on a quiet area of the beach which is perfect for swimming. There’s a 7-11 nearby (but not marked on google maps!), loads of places to eat and bars further up the beach. You also get access to the Miami resort which has a pool. We had a standard room which was clean and spacious, it had a fridge and outdoor deck. The bathroom is basic but we didn’t need anything fancy. The highlight of this stay is the breakfast. You choose your order the night before and in the morning it’s delivered to your deck where you can enjoy fresh fruits, pancakes, eggs - so much to choose from. The staff were friendly and organised an activity for us as well as transport to the airport which was no trouble at all. If you’re looking for a calm, easy going vibe I’d highly recommend Baan Pakgasri Hideaway and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again (I’d choose a beach front room if it was available next time as it looked even better!).

Was very worried after reading some bad reviews, but this place is great and right by the beach. The rooms are very clean and AC is comfortable, the breakfast spread is also pretty yum. Glad to have stayed here and would love to come back

We stayed for one month and were quite happy with our time here. Cabins were comfortable, bathroom adequate and proximity to the beach is excellent. Breakfast was delivered to our little balcony every day ( I recommend the Thai fruit pancake) and housekeeping staff were especially lovely. We stayed in Unit 3 - 1 cabin back from the beachfront units. It’s very close to lots of bars and restaurants as well as numerous options for massages and even a hairdresser. The area is typically basic for an Asian island but prosperous and the locals seem happy and friendly. Never got hassled by hawkers. The water was absolutely perfect. Koh Lanta gets quieter as you go further south and this property provides a good balance of laid back but not without the life you want on your holiday,

Cool location. We had a front beach bungalow. Rooms cleaned every day and fresh towels provided. We didn't book breakfast because we had breakfast somewhere else every day or on the dive boat. Bed was absolutely fine. WiFi was sometimes unstable. Friendly staff.
