Saikhao Inn in Chang Island

This guesthouse was quite an experience. I booked it randomly because it looked affordable and good value for money, not having been to the island before. I booked two nights, but after staying one, I realized it wasn't quite for me. It's on the ground floor, set in a garden, which meant a lot of bugs. The cleanliness was actually good, it's just that many insects would crawl in through the drains or door gaps. The owner is a very sharp woman. Communicating with her was a bit challenging because my English isn't great, and sometimes she seemed a bit impatient, not in a rude way, but perhaps she was just very busy. Overall, the experience was just okay.

I had read reviews saying it was right by the beach, but actually, you have to cross a road to get there. However, a pleasant surprise was discovering a restaurant on the top floor of the guesthouse with absolutely stunning sunset views – I stumbled upon it by chance. I ended up not staying the second night, which I had initially planned to do, but my travel plans changed. Honestly, if I were to return, I wouldn't consider staying here again. But despite my personal experience, the place is incredibly popular and often fully booked!

We stayed in a bungalow, very close to Weissen Beach. The bungalows are old, but ours has a beautiful sunset view!
They bring two cups of instant coffee and two cups of water every day, and housekeeping is every other day.
At first, we were disappointed that we weren't met or driven to reception (it's 50 meters uphill from the road). Then they settled us in and the lovely hostess arrived, and everything was perfect!
It's a family-run business, and everyone is so friendly!
True, they don't wash the floors in the rooms, they just sweep them, and they change the bedding. Everything is fine for the price!
We rented for 1,000 baht a night, but the hostess said the price was a bit high due to the high demand for the rooms during the New Year holidays!
But we were completely satisfied!
They have a restaurant there, and it has a stunning view of the sunset. Who knows, people might come to take photos!
There's a nice area for outdoor dining and swinging!
It's not too difficult for long. The bungalow is a bit small for two!

A good budget hotel, conveniently located in a less-expensive part of Koh Chang. Clean, well-maintained; we've been here three times.

We totally loved our stay here. The bungalows are set back in the jungle but just a short walk to the beach. Very clean, with all the amenities you expect. One of the cheapest places to stay at White Sand Beach. Would recommend this place.

You must stay here. It was the best place to stay. Close to the beach but set in the jungle. Cheap bungalows with all the amenities. Friendly staff and a ginger cat that escorts you to your bungalow every day.

Good place to stay for a fairly low price. 100 meters from the beach where you can make your beautifull bountybeace pictures. Breakfirst included which is full with fruit and bread. Lovely owner.

Nice place with good host and good for the pocket as well.
