Best Hotels in Chang Island

The price was very reasonable considering we went during higher season. Location was good and the beach was very beautiful. Service was amazing.

Conveniently, though, by the small pool near the beach, you can rent very comfortable loungers for 1000 baht a day. And the basic ones by the main pool (about 14 of them) cost 500 baht a day

In the last 15 years, this is the first time I've paid for accommodation and then somehow had to pay for a sun lounger. The next step will probably be paying to enter the sea. Definitely never coming back here!!!

Housekeeping was done almost every day (only missed a couple of times during our 12-night stay), but the cleaning itself was about a 4 out of 5; the wet cleaning could be done more often

The only major issue is that there are hardly any free sun loungers for hotel guests. The few they have offer little to no shade, and there are even fewer umbrellas than loungers

Only stayed for one night, room was nice, staff friendly and location good. The fact it doesn’t really have a beach is fine as there are plenty right next to the hotel

Pros: A good value-for-money hotel. While it doesn't have a beach, it boasts many beautiful coconut trees. The facilities are standard, which is understandable given the reasonable price

Excellent location, polite stuff, room was great, with a tub, but a bit dark. Breakfast is okay, could be more variety. Beach is decent, centrally placed on Kai Bae, great restaurants and bars around

All was cool, breakfast was very good, but almost every morning food which had to be hot, was cold, this is the only thing what was bit annoying.

There's a 7-Eleven right at the corner and plenty of restaurants with a good variety of options

We had a lovely stay here, the hotel was a perfect distance to a lovely beach and all shops and restaurants. Added bonus seeing the elephants on the beach each day

KC Grande is a large complex with buildings on both sides of the road, at the beginning of the town. It has its own beach just below the restaurant and pool, and it is probably the best on the island

Been here before and this time I wasn’t disappointed either. Main rooms are getting refurbished so the only normal rooms available are across the road. They are modern and comfortable with their own pools

One of the older wings is currently under renovation, as is the large pool, the latter until the end of September 2025. There are two restaurants in the hotel, the largest is used for breakfast buffet and dinner

It is a 5-star hotel with several swimming pools, including one on the roof of the newest building with a view over the town and sea

It’s a very large hotel with spacious rooms. The staff provide excellent service, and the breakfast is plentiful, varied, and delicious. The location is great and not too crowded

And what a beautiful beach!! Breakfast was awesome, the best I've had on Koh Chang. Special mention to the excellent peanut butter! The staff too are all happy, smiley and typically Thai

Good resort but rooms need refreshment. Many Russian-speaking and Chinese tourists during our stay. Massage and food better take elsewhere. Breakfast and happy hour were good.

You are living in literally tropical garden. It is the main idea of this resort. The downside is that the hotel is pretty old, natural materials used, located in humid jungle, so it inevitably decays with time

But I think as it gets nearer to November December then the place comes alive with families so it might not be as peaceful as I experienced. Certainly I noticed plenty of things for kids to do

Great stay at Annika Koh Chang Hotel We had a wonderful time at Annika Koh Chang Hotel. The entire property, from the outdoor areas to the rooms, is very clean and well-maintained

The breakfast offers a good variety — everything you need to start the day, including fresh fruits and plenty of options to choose from. The service is absolutely excellent

Another request was to get transported 1km down the road so we could then walk 3km to the waterfall 😂 Another request was a clothes rack to dry all of her clothes that she hand washed in the bath tub😅 and finally last but not least, she ruined the chance of a surprise birthday that they had planned from the beginning by telling them it was her birthday the next day and what did they have planned...

The staff were very helpful with all of my mums unusual requests, they really passed the test… some of the requests included bananas at breakfast even though they don’t provide bananas, but the staff personally brought her over bananas every morning when we sat for breakfast, it made her feel extra special which she constantly desires

They need more coffee makers it’s like a battle to get a cup every day and they are more like americano/espresso than basic coffee that would be easier to mass produce and keep up

Others have complained about ants but it’s an island and they are just little tiny sugar ants that pop up in 2 min if you drop fruit etc

Outdoor clothes drying / hanging area was convenient. Breakfast was passable, nothing fantastic, kind of basic. The room facilities left a lot to be desired, very cramped and smaller then it looked in the listing

We loved our stay! Its a great location on the island and home to cheapest massages you’ll find too! We enjoyed the beach front views! The only actual complaint I have is breakfast

We stopped there for 6nights the bungalow was good size. had tv,kettle,fridge,hair drier and air con. the bathroom was ok and good size

The hotel is good, the breakfasts are the same. The territory is beautiful, the rooms are spacious in Thai style. Of the minuses, the water has poor pressure, barely and cold. There was almost no hot water

the breakfast was a buffet it was good with plenty of choice. the staff were all helpfull and friendly

A couple of them were leaky and started to sink in 10 minutes, so be careful. Overall, I had a good impression of the hotel, I'd probably return

The rooms have net beds in front of them for sunrise coffees and sleepy afternoons. The Salakphet restaurant has delicious seafood and excellent views of the ocean and nearby islands

Too bad there is no beach for swimming but it is possible to take a small boat to go to an island nearby On the other hand, it is a little out of the way but I have an excellent memory of it and I left with regret

With its excellent dining options and serene atmosphere, it promises a relaxing stay despite minor drawbacks

The resort also provides kayaks for free and there are two islands close by that are easy to kayak to. Paddle boards are also available, and the front desk is very helpful in arranging other activities and transportation

What travelers should know: there isn’t much around the Salakphet Resort. There is no beach for swimming and no restaurants within safe walking distand to eat at other than the Salakphet’s own Seafood Restaurant

Location is rather quiet (there’s a shuttle but you better set with your car or bike) but with a great beach. Good food at the dinner restaurant and plentiful breakfast

The hotel is old but in a very good condition. Service is very welcoming and with a incredibly high level of English language proficiency

I didn't want the bed made and I could've gotten new towels later, this was the most upsetting thing that happened. Why come inside? They also turned off the air conditioning and it took a good 45+ min to cool back down

If you're not getting a sea view villa, don't bother with any of the other bungalows or the beach wing. Just book a mountain view or pool view room; those offer the best value for money

Excellent value for money, good breakfast on offer, and if you're a Brit of a certain age don't forget to bring a bottle of HP. Yes you could get better, but you'll be paying more

We stay in October half term break, I think it's the low season because it's damn cheap compared to other times (plus my gf got Thai tourism subsidy that paid about a third of the cost😂)

For the beach, there is a small clean lovely beach in front of the restaurant. It is worth trying massage at the beachfront as you will enjoy it while listening to the wave sounds

I like the place, right on the beach, very polite happy staff and everything is clean. Maid is in everyday to do the room. We swim in the sea and relax at the pool

This resort is incredibly quiet, perfect for a vacation. It has a swimming pool, water slides, and you can even go kayaking. There are lots of little monkeys that wait by the door for food, they're super cute

7 nights 2 complaints, Entertainment you have to pay for a front Table to watch or listen to Entertainment at the restaurant. Not cheap! 😬 Now to the serous stuff. Had to report unacceptable behaviour from the cleaner

Something was going on with the safe, we are 100% sure 1000 bk was removed from a purse. Complained to reception supervisor and money returned. Please pay attention Beware! Thank you for a great stay! Happy days

The beach is very clean, and the shallow water is perfect for swimming. In the evenings, you can rent kayaks to explore the charm of the island. The room's amenities were just okay

I didn’t expect much as this was a last minute booking i made. But it was definitely more than i expected. A nice warm shower with good water pressure, lovely room and bed

It’s oldish but I was impressed how clean and well-stuffed the room was. We stayed in one of the cheapest rooms on the other side of the road from the beach. The hotel has a very nice pool right on the beach

Pool area is spacious offering many loungers, parasol, bar's and good size pool suitable for adults and children. Private beach is the icing on the cake, beautiful scenery and sunsets are delightful

We had a room with a sea view. The evenings are magical when the sun sets. The breakfasts are very varied, and the hotel staff is quick and very polite. There are plenty of different restaurants right next to the hotel

Loved this place! Great pool and beach. Never got a drink or food here though. Waited for over 20 minutes with 4 people behind the bar to have them all disappear and not get served at all.

I would especially like to mention Khun Tod, who made sure we were well taken care of. I had dinner at the restaurant and noticed his warm attention not only to us but to other guests as well

The hotel is divided in two areas, one across the road and one by the beach. If you are staying across the road you can’t use the pool from the beach side, which is a bummer and a big downside

The overall experience was alright, but the facilities need some care. The water park is old and some of the slides are breaking down, they don’t look safe

And btw at the pool also have mini bar with delicious cocktails 🍸 I went to do massage and this was WOW! 🤩 cooling aloe effect was perfect for my burned skin , and atmosphere in the room was so relaxed

The room, breakfast buffet, massage, pool area, evening shows - everything was perfect! And of course people that make this place special! Thank you so much and hope to stay here again!

The hotel is good, the houses are located away from the road, there is no noise - birds sing in the morning, helpful staff, there was an early departure - they made toasts on the road

This hotel is in a good place location wise in koh chang because it's in the middle of the main villages right on the main rd

It was a clean and very basic room, and has a big open area with swimming pool face to sea, good staffs. I’ll choose to come back next time when I am here.

A few new plastic chairs, especially outside the rooms, would improve the look and wouldn't cost much. The friendly young woman at reception does a great job. The owner, a Dutchman, is also very good

The Pool is an absolute highlight there. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. For breakfast you get not a large choice of meals, but the quality is better than average, i. some good cheese or smoked salmon

The grounds are lovely, with a pool and a green lawn. The rooms are spacious, and cleaning is done daily. The only minor thing is that when someone walks past your bungalow, you can hear the wooden pathways creaking

Good beds, coffee maker, TV with many programs (as you can see on the picture), comfortable beds. The breakfast was delicious! Many homemade thinks like breads, sweets, fresh yoghurt, etc

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days in 2026. The breakfasts were fantastic, the pour-over coffee was a delightful surprise, and the variety of dishes meant it never got boring

Nice Hotel, not located at the Beach so, but free shuttle to the Beach from Partner Hotel Emerald Cove. It's as well walkable. Friendly Staff and good service. Nice roof top bar.

It's the second time I stayed there. The building looks to be showing it's age from the outside, but the inside is nice and clean, the rooms are clean

All the staff were lovely and had great smiles, especially the young man at the front desk who was very charming and polite. If I have the opportunity, I will definitely book this hotel again

The restaurant is no longer in use, but there are countless food options from the view of the front door. The swimming pool could be updated a bit, but you're so close to the sea that it's not so important
