Stayed here in January with my family including my 9 month old baby and really loved it. The rooms are well designed, the staff all so nice, the river and mangroves are beautiful. The whole place felt really homely.
Set in a mangrove swamp, it has a beautiful charming character, super laid back and tranquil atmosphere. Pretty much as you expect on this chilled island.
Some of the best food I’ve had on this trip to Thailand. All seafood super fresh and cooked to perfection…They even cooked our catch after a successful fishing trip.

Bann Makok is a truly inspiring place. The setup on the river in the Mangroves makes this an unique experience on Koh Kood. The architecture, simple yet charming with great care for detail, has a colonial touch to it. Kayaks and SUP are free to use for guests and kayaking to the outstanding nearby beaches is fun. Great place to relax. Stay for two three nights and you will find a place made of love with great food and stunning cocktails. When you come all the way to Ko Kut dont miss this place. A good cozy hotel for reasonable money. Don't expect a five-star level, but everything is quite decent. Far from the beaches, but renting a bike solves all the problems. Very friendly and hospitable hosts, I stay at this hotel not for the first time.
Reading the past reviews I was expecting the worse, but at the end was one of the best hostel I've been in SEA. Clean, a lot of space inside and outside and Mimi the reception woman was super kind and very helpful. Thanks again, hope we can come back.

I got a bottom bunk in a shared room with 3
others that were all considerate travelers. The wifi is good. They have a purified water tap with hot and cold.
The shower is cool but was great with the warm days and evenings.

Book another room But slept in a tent with air conditioning. But very ok There is an en-suite bathroom. The owner is kind and takes very good care of it. There is a tent courtyard seat in the middle, very comfortable. Most are foreigners who stay. Suitable for the price

Such a gem tucked away from the main street, surrounded by palm trees. Modern bungalows with a comfy bed, desk, aircon and fan. Close to the best beaches, cafés and restaurants. We stayed for more then a week, and loved this place and it's friendly owners. Recommend!
Lovely bungalows in a small coconut tree forest. The staff are super sweet in their unique Thai way. Even though the property is not on a beachfront the Best beaches are a few minutes drive away. You can rent a bike from the hotel.
We enjoyed our 2 night stay here, it was our first time to Koh Kood we can’t wait to return! On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the owners including a delicious cold coconut each to enjoy while we checked it, which was quick and effortless including a map and recommendations of places to visit! The owners are kind, genuine and couldn’t do enough for us.

We had a really good time here. The location is great, not far from several beaches and plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance. The rooms were clean and well equipped with tea and coffee. I would recommend the breakfast, you have several choices plus a help yourself to tea, coffee and toast.
The owner was especially helpful. He rented us motorcycles for our stay. There is plenty to explore...
Extremely friendly and helpful staff with lovely rooms. Would recommend anyone to stay here! Warning, tokay geckos and asian koels have some lungs on them! So not for extremely light sleepers.

Excellent resort on a very nice beach. Friendly and service minded staff. Clean bungalows with fridge, wifi and AC. Nice breakfast bufé include in the price. If you like spicy food you need to ask/tell them, otherwise you'll be disappointed. We had a great stay and wanted to extend it, unfortunately (for us) they were fully booked!
Very nice Resort with a beautiful beach. The Resort have Kayak for free. The Bungalow is very clean and comfortable with a big terrace. The staff is very helpfull and friendly. In the morning you will have a rich breakfast. We will come back!

I don't usually leave reviews but this has been our favourite place we stayed in Thailand and we have had such a special experience I felt I should ! 🥰. Very nice place, very cheap, great view, a little out of the way and down hill, other than that is great, room has no AC, but it's cool with sea breeze, the hotel beach is full of garbage, that's makes it not perfect. Anyways I enjoyed my stay there.
Good value at $25 US this is the cheapest on the beach accommodation you can find on Koh Kood. Rooms were on the tired side and the bathroom could use a deep clean but they were good enough for that price and excellent location. We did have to hang our own bug net as mosquitoes found their way in despite the screened windows. Food was good and reasonably priced.
Great service, large rooms for the price, run by really nice folks. Lots of rocks and coral on the beach. Unfortunately a good bit of trash washes up on the beach from the ocean.

Good. The room was a bit old, but the view was beautiful. It was fine for sleeping. It's right on the beach, within walking distance, and very close to Nuch Leuang restaurant, also walkable. There's a motorcycle rental shop next to the accommodation.
The hotel was cheap and cheerful with air-conditioning, kettle ,hairdryer . The chalet had a porch , brick built shower toilet at the rear and a wooden bedroom in front ( think mobile home facilities ) . The bed was firm but I slept fine . I didn't get to sample breakfast as the restaurant was closed but I had a delicious smoothie . The beach is witohin 300 yards and bounded by lots of fancy resorts...
The hotel is good for an unpretentious tourist for a budget holiday.

Unfortunately, the cafe staff, who also provided everything for the cabins, disappeared from the restaurant for 2 days, leaving us without water, toilet paper, etc. It was inconvenient.
We really enjoyed staying in the bungalow. Great view, quiet, air conditioning and a fridge. The cafe selection is not big, but delicious. The beach is nearby. We rented a bike at the reception for 250 baht per day. Friendly staff is always ready to help. We recommend. I want to come back here.

The location is good, but you can hear the traffic on the street. Reception speaks almost no English. The terrace is very nice. Stuffy bungalow, hard mattress, no place to hang anything, large bathroom and at night we had a small snake in the bathroom! Mata is a guesthouse for adventurer surrounded by nature and jungle. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxing. Mr T. helped us with check-in, gave us some clear explanations about recommended beaches, bars and restaurants. He also provided us a scooter for the entire journey. Overall, we had a good stay. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit, which made the experience pleasant. One thing to note is that if you want both a sea view and a private pool, you need to book one of the pool villa room types. Otherwise, there isn’t a public swimming pool available for guests. Knowing this in advance would help set the right expectations when choosing a room.
My husband, friends, and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Everything was great, though it's a shame the pool is only in the private area. Sometimes, after a swim in the sea, we wished we could dip into a pool. The breakfasts were good and varied. During the day, there was free tea, coffee, hot chocolate (both instant and from a machine), toast, jam, condensed milk, two types of ice cream, water...
If you enjoy eating with ants and bugs, not being able to communicate with the hotel staff and enjoying great sunsets, this is your best choice!

We spent our entire stay on Koh Kood Island enjoying dinner at Peter Pan Resort, even though we stayed elsewhere. We absolutely loved the relaxed, easygoing vibe and the genuine friendliness of the staff. Despite the occasional language barrier, they always made an effort to communicate with us, which we really appreciated.
