I stayed at the non-air conditioned room in December. It was super cooling at night and there wasn't an issue without air conditioning. The owners of the guest house were kind and sincere people. I had a great time speaking to them. It was situated within a rustic estate and very peaceful. They provide scooters for rent, which was a convenient way to explore the island. There are amenities nearby as well.

Mata is a guesthouse for adventurer surrounded by nature and jungle. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxing. Mr T. helped us with check-in, gave us some clear explanations about recommended beaches, bars and restaurants. He also provided us a scooter for the entire journey. Room was basic (like photos) but confortable. Thank you to the entire team of Mata for the hospitality and wish you all the best!

Stayed in room with AC, quite area outside with a lot of shade. We enjoyed our stay for more than a week, thanks to friendly host and their family.

A nice little house surrounded by greenery, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, nice terrace. Everything very clean. You just hear the noice of wildlife. Nice manager. Daily roomservice, which we didn't expect for the low price. Sweet dogs. You can rent motorbikes, which you should to get arround. It's close to a lovely nightmaket where you get good food, drinks and nice vibes. A big beautiful beach is around 15min/20min walk away and some restaurants, too. We enjoyed our stay very much!

If you like authenticity, meeting amazing (and funny :)) hosts, enjoying a simple but comfortable bungalow, and being in the heart of nature, this is a place for you. In bonus : great/recent motorbikes, good local food for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend !

Amazing stay! Just perfect local hosts. Good food available on site. Had a bungalow with AC and everything worked great. Highly recommended.

I had the 400 Baht room with fan and shared bathroom. Everything very clean. Good light in the rooms and the shower had much water. The room had some furniture for clothes and a mirror. The staff was helpful and very friendly.

A very calm and comfortable guesthouse. Everything is not far away and you can rent a scooter for very fair prices to travel around the island. Many good restaurant are 5-10min away, the klong chao waterfall is literally just around the corner and you will need less than 5 min to the closest beach. Pla is a great host.

Very peaceful place to stay, friendly staff and everyting else you need (scooter rental, laundry, breakfast...). Located just 2min by scooter from the main beach and 3min from the biggest waterfall. Recommended if you can drive a scooter :)
