Outdated, worn, on the outskirts of town.
Had to laugh at checkin — the rude woman addressed me as ‘you’ then pointed at chair and said ‘sit’. This toxic service, repels guests who are used to the finer things and not barn living.
Would have given a slightly higher rating if not for the rude toxic desk lady.
Keep in mind, if you have no transport the location is 15 minutes outside of town.
Also beware the awning is 5’ from the ground and you’ll pound your head possibly.

Peaceful location overlooking rice fields. Very friendly, attentive staff who go above and beyond to make your stay extra comfortable. Would definitely stay here again for the peace and tranquility.

A fantastic guest house on the edge of Lampang. Baas the owner is a superb host who speaks fluent English, German and Dutch. Clearly nothing is too much trouble. The accommodation is made up of tastefully decorated small lodges, surrounding a small pond. The central building with bar and restaurant overlooks a nice pool, which has great views over paddy fields to towards distant mountains. Dinner must be ordered before 1700 and is served overlooking the pool. My prawn tom yum and Thai steak salad were excellent.

This very small hotel (just 7 rooms) is in a beautiful setting with nice facilities. The view from the restaurant next to the pool overlooking the rice paddies is superb. Then why just 3 stars? First, the hotel is very isolated and a 15 minute drive into town. The town itself has very little to offer besides a few interesting temples. Second, the choices at the on-site restaurant are quite limited and going into town is a hassle. Third, the staff were very friendly but had limited (some no) English. The biggest problem was the bed in the Deluxe "Lotus" room which is just a mattress on a platform with 2 steps up from the main floor. This was very difficult (and somewhat dangerous) to get in and out of bed. - especially for seniors. Maybe the other Deluxe rooms have a different set-up? Lastly, the credit card reader did not function so cash was the only way to pay for meals and incidentals.

I've been coming to Thailand in winter for 15 years and have stayed at many hotels and resorts from Phuket to Bangkok to Chiang Mai to Nan. Baan Suchadaa is far and away the best place I have ever stayed in Thailand. Gorgeous grounds with infinity pool and stunning views of rice paddies and mountains in the distance, welcoming and friendly host (Khun Suchadaa) and workers, spotless and well-decorated room, and delicious food. Tranquil. Serene. Could not have been better. Plus they have cockatiels and rabbits on the grounds! This is the place to stay in Lampang. We will be back! - Chris & Suphanit

A must stay. This is our favorite hotel of our Thailand trip without any doubt. The owner’s family was amazingly nice and genuinely wanted us to have the best time, and treated us like their family is visiting. The lady even drew a map for us so that we could check out some local spots and waited on the street with water bottles for us until we left. Breakfast with super peaceful view with delicious Thai rice congee was the thing I miss the most. I recommend this place 1000% and would definitely return if I can.

Stayed for a couple of nights Monday Tuesday ...I think we were the only guests.
room is a good size ,comfortable bed,big tv and nice bathroom.
breakfast was really good and lots of it.
pool is terrific has a nice depth to it
most pools in Thailand are not actually for swimming in.
service was great and extremely friendly.

We visited this hotel on a one night stopover. Initially slightly unconvinced due to the arrivals procedure and need to book meals in advance (it's a small place). Nonetheless the hotel had plenty of charm and a lovely location overlooking paddy fields; also big rooms with plenty of local Thai style. Not so good if you wish to visit Lampang and don't have your own transport as getting a taxi is problematic, apparently. Food good, and overall for the price an absolute steal!

This hotel is a hidden gem. Beautifully decorated, spacious room, great amenities and a top notch staff. From the moment you arrive to the minute you leave you are treated as a friend. The pool is lovely, the food is very good. I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a great place to relax.

Couldn’t recommend this place enough! We stayed for 3 nights and had an amazing time! Staying here was the highlight of our vacation to Thailand for me. The staff was all super nice and treated us like we were part of their family.
The pool and views of the rice paddy’s is surreal and insanely peaceful. The rooms were super comfortable and beautiful. A/C was very cold which was nice after long days of exploring.
Our stay included breakfast which was delicious and home cooked with the service being top notch.
They even found us a scooter rental last minute! Great service!
Will definitely be back to stay here again!!
