Phuthan Hotel in Surat Thani City

The hotel is located in Surat Thani province, in an area with an unusually harsh climate. Even during the tourist season, when it's sunny in other regions, it rains constantly here. This results in high humidity, and this hotel is particularly noticeable.

The room has a strong, damp, musty smell. There's a persistent feeling of mold and mildew in the mattresses and furniture. At first, I ignored it and went to bed, but a few hours later, I woke up with a completely stuffy nose—my mucous membranes were swollen from the air in the room. As a result, I was forced to check out at 6 a.m. after only a few hours of sleep because it was physically impossible to stay there.

Ventilation doesn't help—even opening the window doesn't improve the situation.

Additionally, the hotel is located right next to a highway where trucks, buses, and other vehicles travel all night. The constant honking and noise make sleep virtually impossible.

I love Thailand and the people who live here, and I have great respect for the country. But, unfortunately, this is one of the most unpleasant hotels I've ever stayed in.

If you're looking for a restful stay, to recover on the road, or just to get a good night's sleep, I strongly recommend looking for another hotel.

Stayed here on the long drive from Bangkok to Phuket.

It's exactly what you pay for.

I knew I had to drive a bit because there were no amenities nearby, but it was farther than I thought, so it was a bit inconvenient.

I don't think I'll go back...

There is no elevator and the staff refused to help carry the luggage. It was very bad. The room was dusty and the bedsheet had stains in many places. The glass that was placed there was opened from the plastic wrap and water leaked out without being wiped clean.

First of all, the taxi will cost you 300 Bath per trip from the airport which is not supposed to coz it’s pretty close to the airport.
The picture of the hotel look ok, but it’s not what it look like in the pictures.
Room smell so terrible like something dead, bath towels’re dirty and teared apart. just pls consider if you wanna book a night here
