I came here (after extensive research on line) to explore yoga. The resort was FAULTLESS. The main yoga sala benefitted from cooling ocean breezes (so much that a jumper was needed for 7.30am meditation) I loved it that there were no sign in/out for beach towels. I LOVED the many chill out areas that you cold read/eat/just LIE in! Also pretty good "swap" library. The resort is right on the beach, which is OK for swimming but visibility was poor, maybe due to the welcoming breeze stirring things up. I didn't sign up to a pre- treatment programme so ' drop in' massages were limited (but very good). The "garden rooms" are so close and u spend so little time in them i think they are the best choice. Food is very wholesome. Staff are ALL TOTAL DARLINGS. We could do with a few more rubbish bins near the sunbeds so we can deposit the rubbish we find washed up more easily. This is a unique place and great value for money The communications for arriving and leaving were 100%

Some places do not simply host you, they hold you. Samahita Retreat on Koh Samui is one of those rare sanctuaries. I had the immense pleasure of hosting an eight-day yoga retreat at Samahita, and from the very first breath I took there, something inside me softened. I found myself utterly gobsmacked by the beauty, the stillness, the quiet intelligence of the land and sea. There were moments, small and unexpected, where everything fell silent inside me. Glimpses of complete peace. Gentle flashes of something that feels very close to enlightenment. Those very states we spend years seeking through yoga, meditation, and devotion, they arrived naturally here. The food was nothing short of perfection thoughtfully crafted to nourish the body and support deep healing. The yoga studios carried a palpable energy spacious, grounded, and alive. The daily rhythms, the programs, the way people were gently brought together felt intentional and heart-centered. Evenings of kirtan and guided meditation wove us into a shared field of presence, devotion, and connection. There was a sense of being held, by the practice, by the community, by something greater than ourselves. These eight days felt like a sacred pause, a profound reset, and the most beautiful beginning to the year. Healing unfolded quietly but powerfully. My gratitude goes beyond words. To the staff, the teachers, the space itself, thank you. Samahita has left an imprint on my heart that will never fade. I carry it with me, and I will return again and again, both in memory and in body. With my whole heart, I recommend Samahita, not just as a retreat, but as an experience that gently guides you back home to yourself.

Still water yoga held is retreat here. It was so wonderful, the food was great and the people were amazing. Location was perfect, close to activities, walks, and peace. The room we stayed in was on the beach, with a wonderful view.

Another amazing visit to Samahita. Samahita is a special place that I love returning to. The great team work so hard to maintain and run the facilities. Impeccably clean rooms and facilities, gorgeous healthy food choices and fantastic classes. This time I came for the yoga teacher training (YTT) 200hrs course and I highly highly recommend doing this course at Samahita. Led by Samahita's fabulous senior teachers - the quality of teaching, the learning experience and the depth of the programme is second to none.

A quite place to do yoga/fitness retreat. From other members at the retreat, it has been improved quite a bit on their protein menu from 2024, I hope Samahita continues to offer more protein options as not all of us are vegan or on a vegetarian diet. I love the retreat has a regular schedule for yoga & fitness classes. I tried to do give feedback to Samahita site directly, but was unable to submit due to an "error". A week is a good.

A very well-run, well-organised, clean and efficient establishment – everything from meals to classes to check-in to spa treatments ran like clockwork. The staff were friendly throughout and the wifi was dependable. Room clean, bed comfortable, shower strong and air-con reliable - the fridge was quite noisy at night, but I just kept it unplugged. Also onsite were two small pools, two shalas, a cycling studio with a few weights (note not a fully equipped gym) and a spa on site. I had a number of Thai massages there and they were a bit variable – some of the massage ladies really gave it some welly; others seemed to be half-heartedly going through the motions. I enjoyed the food – fresh, biodiverse, organic and varied – with the core dishes vegetarian, but with daily protein add-ons of eggs at breakfast and chicken, tofu, fish or shrimp in the evenings (at no extra cost). The Samahita attracted a very yoga-orientated crowd. I was more into the meditation classes and spa, but the yoga classes seem to get good reviews - not one I could comment on. The lion's share of people there were doing yoga teacher training, and constituted their own large group, A few things to know about the place, so you can make an informed choice: 1. The beach itself is very small, but secluded. You’re well away from the tourist drags, and even the nearest 7-11 is a 25-minute walk (which for Thailand is same something!). Great if you want peace and quiet, but you are at a distance from most things. 2. For this reason, it would be helpful if Samahita had a small on-site shop selling basics rather than just boutique gifts. That said, you can easily get a Grab (the Thai Uber) on the back of a moped for 40 baht. There’s a nice café called Sweet Sisters opposite the 7-11 that’s worth a visit while you’re there. 3. It’s strictly no smoking alcohol on-site, but the next hotel along, Samui Caravans, has a small bar, and Coco Beach Bar and iBeach are a seven-minute walk away. There are also a couple of dinky village shops (including the blue house just opposite) that sell Thai beer, or you can stock up at the 7-11 – just be sure to consume off-site. Not the cheapest at £250 a night - I had to change previous plans last minute, and possibly with more time to research I'd have found better value elsewhere. Still, perfect for yoga enthusiasts looking to deepen their practice. For casual participants like me, it may all feel a touch on the earnest side – though that might just be my problem. Lovely stay, all the same — and one I’d happily recommend to anyone who actually knows what they’re doing on a yoga mat.

Great! Healthy non processed foods/drinks. Tropical juices with most meals. Organic. Vegetarian options available at every meal. Relaxing, lots of yoga, meditation classes every day. Also facial, back, foot massages and more. Staff are all very kind and helpful. I look forward to returning, hopefully with Jules Davis!
