The villa is fantastic—each room has air conditioning, and the location right by the sea with a private beach is stunning. Joy was extremely kind, accommodating, and showed us so much. You couldn't ask for better service. The staff, in general, were very friendly and attentive.

The individual houses are very well laid out – the cleanliness is really great and the service is first-class. Everything is taken care of in this house, from breakfast to fruit platters in the evening and excursion organization. We had all-day care, with the staff being very unobtrusive but available at all times. The house is ideal for people who want to enjoy their holiday away from the hustle and bustle.

Baan Tawan Chai was a perfect stay for our family. We celebrated our New Year Eve in Koh Samui and couldn’t be happier with our choice. The villa has 4 separate bedrooms - each bed room also has its own outdoor shower which was a plus. There are separate living spaces, one is the kitchen which we most spent our time at, another is a tv room. As a family from Thailand, cooking is one of the times we get to bond as a family. We were so glad that the villa is fully equipped with all the essentials you need. We also drove around the island and did a tour of other places we were considering staying and was so glad we ended up at Baan Tawan Chai. The villa was located in a very quiet area. Most of the time you have the beach to yourself! There are dogs from neighbors which we were worried about at first since we have a young child with us but it turned out that the dogs are super friendly. Toward the end of stay, the dogs would welcome us as we were their owner when we return from sight seeing trips. We were also happy with the villa manager- Hawa. She’s from Thailand and lives nearby. Hawa is very responsive and very attentive. She constantly checks on you make sure your smooth stay. She is also available on demand whenever you need. We have rented so many places and most of the time you are supplied with stuff at checked in and at the villa and you never hear from the owner or the manager ever again - you are on your own. For Hawa, she takes you in as a family. She checks in with you every day and always offer her assistance for whatever you need. She made us feel like we had a family/friend on the island. Zu is the owner of the villa. While being overseas, Zu made sure she got a chance to speak with us via a phone call. This showed how much Zu and Hawa care about their renters. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend this place if you are looking for a perfect secluded stay in Koh Samui!

If you ever look for a place to unwind and get away from the hectic and noisy life, then Zu's place Baan Tawan Chai in Koh Samui is the right place to go. We stayed for 4 weeks, and it felt like home.
The architectural layout of the Villa is stunning. The separate bungalows give you a lot of privacy (We travel with two families and kids). So, every family had her own space. Every bedroom has its own bathroom with a fantastic outside shower. The main living area is in the center bungalow, with a great view over the pool to the ocean. You can open all floor-to-ceiling windows all around and experience the beautiful garden with all the coconut trees rustling in the wind. Hawa the Villa manager took care of us. Starting with excellent and quick communication, driving us to the supermarket, since e we just rented a scooter. Organizing us food delivery every day (Thank you Nun and your mother for cooking so delicious food), organizing us Pin a great Thai massage woman once every couple of days… and helping us wherever it was needed. Because of Covid, all schools in Thailand still closed, she brought her daughter everyday along and all the kids played together and had a good time. Since Covid lot of places, bar and restaurants in the north are still close, the quite southern part of the island was the right decision to go for. It is far more “local” and feels like being on the countryside. With Coconut harvester, collect the coconuts with monkeys (The kids loved it) and cows grazing around the estate… We all loved the lazy and dozy life, and we all will come back to Zu's place, which is even better than we could have hoped for.
