The Hive Hotel in Lamai Beach

We loved staying at the Hive in Koh Samui. Am, Jamila and the team were so helpful. They helped us with everything from booking excursions, recommending restaurants, booking cars and so much more. Am went over and beyond for us, she is so helpful and we loved her seeing smiling face everyday. She even came to greet us the day we were leaving even though it was her day off.

The resort is perfect, the pool is right off the beach, the location is close to all of the restaurants, bars and shops in Lamai. The breakfast is excellent, we really enjoyed it everyday. The food and drinks at the restaurant and pool were also very good.

The rooms are set in a garden area with lots of birds and frogs. Our room was lovely, large and we could hear the waves from the ocean.

We will definitely stay at The Hive the next time we are in Koh Samui, which I hope is soon. We will also recommend to anyone we know who is going to Lamai Beach in Koh Samui.

Great location on the beach, staff very friendly and helpful! Helped us to hire a moped so no deposit or passport needed. Did have to request clean sheets as ours was stained but these were replaced straight away. Good restaurant on site.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, the furniture wasn't new but it was okay, the breakfast was very good, the hotel's architecture was very nice, the pool was beautiful, and its location was just a second from Lamai Beach and close to all the central cafes. Special thanks to Jamila and Tarn. They made us feel at home.

The location on Lamai beach is according to us one of the beast. The restaurant is good. The breakfast is ok but could be better..
The rooms are ok, nothing special. Service is very good, friendly staaf and very helpful! We booked a standard double room, where the door was facing the Main Street. It was impossible to sleep without earplugs, the bars where playing music until 05:00 in the mornings.. I could stay here again but would have booked the villa instead! But If you take everything in to account, it’s very affordable.

Great hotel right on the beach. Good clean rooms, excellent breakfast but lunch and dinner not recommended, you can get better much cheaper in town.
Only a short walk to town and beach bars.
Plenty of loungers, spoilt by guests who seem to get up at dawn to claim a bed with a towel and then use it for a few minutes later that day.
Reception staff very helpful.

Ignore the bad reviews, some people just dont know how to set expectations for what they pay. If you looking for modern chic hotel rooms so guess pay double elsewhere if you want to be on the best location in the area.
In general I liked my stay there as price was good and location is great. Room itself was bit outdated but guess I just booked the cheapest option. Still was OK, decent bed and hot water plus fridge, only problem was no mattress protector.
Resort itself is amazing; like a small jungle on the beach, everything was very clean and organized, you can have massage at low price on the beach and there is also nice restaurant just near.
50m from the entrance you can walk to the main street to find all you need, 7/11, exchange, bars, food, etc.
Stuff always smile and nice, even offered extra breakfast as I arrived very early in the morning before check in time.

Excellent hotel, green area, swimming pool, shower on the beach. There were enough sunbeds and towels for everyone, although the hotel was packed to capacity.
The room is large, there is a kettle, tea + coffee, a safe for a small laptop, soap, shampoo, shower cap, hair dryer, TV. Large balcony, high ceilings in the room. Of course, there is a fairly new and quiet air conditioner.
Standard rooms in two- and three-story buildings, no elevator, but your luggage will be brought.
The staff is friendly, they help, clean and wash the hotel daily.
The breakfast is quite monotonous, but tasty, there is enough of everything throughout the breakfast.
Breakfast is served in an open area without air conditioning, but with a view of the sea, it is not needed.
Good hotel, we will come again.

Best part about the property was location, everything else was average.

The room was spacious but there were flys and insets. The service was okay, you will get what ask for but the staff didn’t put any extra effort.

Excellent clean hotel, on the seashore, green well-kept territory, regularly clean the beach from leaves and garbage. Friendly staff at the reception, will prompt and tell you everything.
