Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. Whenever we need to get somewhere, the front desk would have a tuktuk ready for us. We also asked for a private longboat a day head of our arrival, and it was also ready for us on time. Our bungalow was clean and right near the pool, the restaurant had great food and coffee, and it was very quiet throughout the night as well. I would highly recommend.

What’s not to love … Stayed last year for 4 nights and 7 nights in January this year - again in a pool access room . It’s a beautiful property with the kindest , friendliest and most helpful staff that can’t do enough for you. Lovely manicured gardens and well kept property . Breakfast hasn’t changed from last year and would still like more than just the Thai soup as only Thai option but tried the pancakes this year and delicious. Pizza was just as good as we remembered. For some, the downside may be that it’s not on the beach but with a 10min ride away, no issue for us. And this year we were twice treated to ‘a monkey show’ on the property when they appeared from the forest backdrop. Pool is immaculate, cleanest I have ever seen ( the guy spends almost 2hrs tending to daily) and perfect temperature as often can be too cold for my liking. Rooms serviced daily, great sized bed, mattress and pillows. It’s rarely busy round the pool which has platforms/ledges for sitting on. Would def recommend and we will be returning in Jan 2027. Koh Muk is a fav Thai Island and Mook Lamai enhances the experience as a peaceful relaxing property to stay at. They arranged private transfer for us to Trang airport which went smoothly with no waiting around . Thanks again for our stay

Small but stylish Mooklamai is an excellent choice for a stay in Koh Mook. It is not located directly on the beach but you may reach them easily. The staff is extremely supportive and smiling. Mooklamai has a stylish and functional design. In our opinion is one of the top choices for Koh Mook

Staff were lovely and went out of their way to be helpful.

The resort was well kept with lovely flowers and visited by butterflies. We enjoyed watching the monkeys in the jungle behind our bungalow.

Our room was spotlessly clean and well appointed and the bed was comfortable.

Free beach towels and transfers to the beach was a bonus.

Breakfast was adequate but service could be slow.

We stayed here for 2 nights with our 3 children and wish we could have stayed longer! The owners are amazing, so kind and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. They organised a longboat and guide to take us to Emerald Cave for a fraction of the price elsewhere and it was brilliant! The food was excellent, the breakfast was served to you and you could order as much as you wanted. Lunch and Dinner were both great and at a really good price. We had 2 x swim up rooms which had everything we needed and free water in the mini bar. The pool is always open so the kids loved an evening dip! Every time we were in it we had the pool to ourselves. The island is so quiet and relaxed, it's really nice to see how the local people live when driving around. They offer a free tuk tuk around the island which is a really great help as didn't fancy walking in 30 degree heat and humidity! Thank you Mook Lamai, you were excellent!

Stayed in swim access room for 4 nights. Lovely stay in beautiful surroundings. Friendly family with good service. Breakfast included and although good, would have enjoyed more Thai options. Nice pizza from restaurant on site too. Added bonus of ‘free’ tuk tuk ride until 6pm to anywhere on island. Free pick up and delivery back to port. Lovely super clean pool area, pool towels included and pool access is 24hrs! Room decent size with lots of thought gone into position of plugs etc with nice view over pool.

Mook Lamai Resort and Spa is a fantastic place to stay on Koh Mook. Located on the western outskirts of the island’s central area, it’s about 1.3 km from the pier. We walked to the hotel in about 15 minutes, passing through the small "city center" along the way. If you prefer, tuktuks are usually available at the pier for 50 baht per person. There is an ATM in town, but when we visited, it was out of cash—so bringing some extra Thai baht is a good idea!

The hotel itself is beautiful, modern, and impeccably clean. The staff is incredibly friendly and service-minded, making sure every guest feels welcome. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a refreshing welcome drink and a helpful introduction to the island, as well as a tour of our room. This personal touch really set the tone for a great stay.

One great feature of the hotel is the free one-way transfer service to anywhere on the island. You can easily get a ride to one of Koh Mook’s stunning beaches or restaurants, and then take a tuktuk back when you're ready. The hotel also provides free bicycles, which are great for short trips, although the quality varies a bit. Still, they were perfectly fine for getting around the island.

Overall, Mook Lamai Resort and Spa is a fantastic choice for a relaxing stay on Koh Mook. With its excellent service, comfortable rooms, and convenient transport options, it’s a place I would highly recommend!
