Pimalai Resort & Spa in Lanta Island

We spent four nights at Pimalai resort. Really a great place. Very quiet, elegant, peaceful, very professional and kind staff. Our room with view on both the garden and the sea was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Two great swimming pools. A beautiful garden. We ll for sure come back! Thanks to the whole team

wonderful stay and hope to come back one day. The beach is one of the nicest on the island with lots of activities. The staff is very attentive and friendly and the rooms themselves are beautiful and comfortable. Of course the drinks and food are overpriced but the happy hours are good. My only complaint is the smoking. I understand certain people struggle to go 5 minutes without smoking but the hotel should have designated smoking areas. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, bar, beach, pool. Everywhere all the time someone blowing their disgusting smoke in my face. They also did not mention a happy honeymoon ever at all even though we left a note in the booking note, which seemed weird to me.

We stayed 5 nights in November.
The best thing was the room, incredible level of quality and attention to detail.
The beach is ok (I guess really good for Thailand standards but you can find better ones in the Caribbean).
Nothing is included in the room price, not even the minibar, you have already paid 500 per night and they make you pay 1£ for a chocolate bar.
The prices for the laundry services were crazy expensive, like 1£ per t-shirt.
The staff was really amazing! From the time we arrived and we were welcomed, to the last moment - just perfect.
I would say it is for sure the best resort you can find in Ko Lanta, but keep in mind that nothing is included in the room price.

A fantastic 5 days spent in a Beach suite (312). We arrived late in the evening in the dark, and taken by buggy to our spacious suite, large sitting room, galley kitchen/coffee making facilities, large bathroom with massive bath and shower. Bedroom was also enormous overlooking a large enclosed garden with a pathway opening right onto the beach. A water monitor (circa 3ft long) walking across the lawn, added to a "At one with nature" experience.

Gym and sports facilities were very good, I would have loved a Padel Court onsite... But that's because I'm an addict, but the Pickle and tennis courts looked good.

The bars / restaurants were all great as were the fantastic staff, all very attentive, when we did have an issue (Bose speaker not charging... 1st world problem I know!) it was sorted within 5 mins.

We both visited the Spa... I'm not one for massages etc normally, but it was very relaxing in a beautiful setting and would definitely do an it again (30 min Herbal scrub + 60 min massage).

Along the beach was the "Why Not Bar" which gave a good alternative option for lunch/dinner and 7Eleven around the corner.

A perfect venue, it's going to be difficult to beat this one on our 6 week tour around the islands of Thailand.

From the moment we arrived at Pimalai, everything felt effortless. The staff greeted us with warmth and genuine smiles that instantly set the tone for the entire stay. The resort itself is breathtaking — set right between lush jungle and a pristine beach that looks like it belongs on a postcard.

Our villa was stunning: spacious, private, and perfectly maintained, with incredible views and every small detail thought through. The beach is quiet and clean, the pools are amazing (especially the infinity pool overlooking the bay), and the food — from breakfast to dinner — was outstanding.

What really stood out, though, was the service. Every single member of staff went above and beyond — from the buggy drivers to the restaurant team — always kind, attentive, and genuinely happy to help.

Pimalai isn’t just a resort; it’s a complete escape. Peaceful, elegant, and absolutely worth every minute of the journey to get here. If you’re looking for true Thai hospitality and world-class relaxation — this is it.

Super nice and chill resort, suitable for honeymooners.

I fell in love with Pimalai during my first time here i Y2022. I have always wanted to come back. Been trying other places, Pimalai provides the best for me to relax ang enjoy! Light activities like cooking, wellness, cocktails class or touristy mangroves, islands, oldtowns. The spa, mani, pedi, salon. Just heaven for someone who keen to wind down, off rush.

Perfect resort in term of room, pool, restaurant, facilities, cleanliness and services in a very secluded location with both sea and mountain experience.
The view from the Seven Seas breakfast restaurant is superb, not to mention the good quality foods with so many choices.
Wish we had more days in this resort.

Second time in this super nice resort for chill and relax holiday. This time stayed in Bayfront suite room. Everything is great as always other than
1. It’s quite a journey from Krabi airport (~2 hours) car ride and ferry. Especially when going to airport, you have to follow the resort schedule to leave so we had to leave earlier than we had to.
2. Last time we could enjoy breakfast from both spice and rice restaurant, as well as seven sea on hill side. However we were told that this time only spice and rice restaurant is available and it’s quite disappointing as breakfast food is the same for all three days.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel. Setting beautiful. Amenities amazing. Pool at top of hill quite lovely. Service impeccable
