WARNING: SALMONELLA INFECTION AFTER STAY AT THIS HOTEL This is not a standard review – this is a serious warning to future guests. We cannot properly describe the level of disappointment, stress, financial loss, and health damage this hotel caused us. What we experienced was not just poor service, but a combination of dishonesty, extremely low hygiene standards, and complete disregard for guests, including children. Health and Hygiene – the most serious issue The most alarming part of our stay is that all 6 families from our group had members suffering from vomiting and diarrhea. Our 3-year-old child spent the last three days of the holiday vomiting, with diarrhea, unable to eat, weak and exhausted. Immediately after landing, we took her directly to the hospital, where medical tests confirmed SALMONELLA, most likely caused by improperly cooked or contaminated food. We want to clearly emphasize: We did not eat outside the hotel at all Our child’s condition worsened during the stay The infection spread to other family members Returning home sick, traumatized, and infected with a dangerous bacteria after an all-inclusive holiday is absolutely unacceptable. Deposit issue – financial loss Upon arrival, the hotel refused to acknowledge our £550 deposit, despite us presenting official bank documentation proving the transaction was successful. We immediately contacted our bank, who confirmed that the money had arrived in the correct account. Despite this, the hotel staff kept repeating: “We don’t see it.” As a result, we were forced to pay the full amount again just to be allowed to stay. We were a group of 24 people traveling for New Year’s Eve, and had no realistic alternative. After returning home, our bank officially confirmed that they cannot return the money, because the transaction was completed successfully, and the issue must be resolved between us and the hotel. Even the bank expressed shock that a hotel would treat its guests this way. Food quality and all-inclusive reality We arrived on December 25th. Dinner was extremely modest, but we hoped things would improve. Unfortunately, for 7 consecutive days, the buffet remained shockingly poor for an all-inclusive hotel: very limited selection repetitive food every day tasteless and poorly prepared often followed by stomach pain This was nowhere near the standard expected from an all-inclusive resort. Cleanliness of rooms Room hygiene was unacceptable. The rooms were covered in dust, and I had to clean them myself before unpacking our clothes. There were: no toilet brushes no trash bins no kettle for water (we had to request one) This level of cleanliness is unacceptable, especially for families with children. New Year’s Eve Gala – unacceptable treatment of children A few days before New Year’s Eve, we were informed that our children would be separated from us during the gala dinner. This was shocking. I wouldn't recommend this hotel even to my enemy !!! Food was horrible and untasteful i mean my stomach got upset on day 2 and has been like that a week after the holiday.. i mean it took me about 5-7 days at home not been able to work till my stomach got back to normal. the hygiene is under a big question i think its very poor and especially in the kitchen !!! One of my kids tested positive to Salmonella.. we were a big group and all of us were with upset stomach !!! i can keep going and going about it but no point.. just this hotel is a NO NO.. very bad experience !

I emailed the below comments to the hotel after our stay but they have just chosen to ignore me. Some of the bar staff were unforgivably rude, one barman saw me approaching the bar and got up and slammed the door and left me waiting at the bar for ages and then when he did finally emerge, he ignored me and served the other people who had arrived after me. I informed him I had been there first and he ignored me. This is just one of the many incidents I experienced with rude bar staff. I had several spa treatments during the stay. The facial I had was very poor, I complained to reception about this and I thought the issue was resolved. However, on departure I was told I had to pay for this treatment. The treatment was painful, which I was not warned about, I was left in a room with no music several times and all I could here was the therapist and the receptionist on their phones and chatting, not relaxing in anyway. By the end of the treatment I was extremely annoyed and not relaxed in any way, shape or form. The receptionist at the spa was extremely unhelpful, miserable and quite rude, all she wanted to do was look at her phone. I spent ages trying to translate the spa treatments as I felt she was unapproachable and did not want to help me find what I was looking for. I really can't believe people who are so unhelpful and unapproachable, who are meant to be helpful and friendly, are allowed to work on the front of house at a 5 star hotel. I emailed this hotel several times for a refund for spa treatment which was unacceptable and they have just ignored me and not even bothered to respond to my emails, shocking behaviour!
