​I chose Hotel Residence Hammamet for its excellent value and central location, and I had a very positive experience. This is a perfect choice for travelers prioritizing budget and a traditional, authentic stay.
​The Best Parts:
​Exceptional Trust and Cleanliness: The room was maintained to an outstanding standard every day. The cleaning staff are superb and exceptionally trustworthy; even when items were misplaced, I would never suspect the cleaners of taking anything.
​Friendly and Personal Staff: The team was genuinely friendly. I received great personal service, including the receptionist carrying my bag and the waiters being attentive at breakfast.
​Great Bar & Food: The bar area is a nice spot for a drink, serving strong Tunisian beer and truly excellent pizza. The Wi-Fi was fast and free throughout the property.
​Helpful Tips for Future Travelers (Things to Know):
​Transport: There is transport available, but it can be awkward to suss out. I highly recommend using travel planning resources like Rome2Rio or an AI assistant for planning. For local taxis, the inDrive app is much cheaper and a great alternative to Uber.
​Service Knowledge: Receptionists have friendly service but limited knowledge of the public transport network.
​Communication Gaps: I was never informed about the hotel's amenities like the rooftop pool or the beach area, so be sure to ask upon check-in!
​Room Design: Be cautious of the design peculiarities, such as the toilet roll holder's vertical placement and the tight shower space where the tap is located on the side of the bath. Also, I was not shown how to operate the AC/heating unit.
​Payment Policy: Travelers should note that card payments have a 20 Dinar minimum spend, which was enforced by a grumpy barman, so carry cash for smaller items.
​Overall: I highly recommend this hotel for its fantastic value, high cleaning standards, and friendly staff. It's a strong choice if you are prepared for a few design quirks and use outside resources for transport!

The place, room, bathroom, and bed were all very clean and smelled wonderful.

The restaurant staff were attentive, and the food was delicious. The lobby was beautifully decorated. The chairs near the lobby entrance were very comfortable; it was lovely to sit there and soak up the sun in winter.

Transportation was very convenient; there were public buses that went directly to the hotel.

How clean this hotel is. It’s way more cleaner than the four or five stars hotel in Hammamet. People are nice and willing to help. If you looking for a good place for stay for few days. Highly recommended.

The location is about a 20-minute walk from the tourist area, which is acceptable. The room size and cleanliness are acceptable. I was hesitant to use the hairdryer. The bathroom does not provide basic shower gel, shampoo, or even hand soap or hand sanitizer, so you need to bring your own. The staff are friendly, the decor is beautiful, and breakfast is basic.

The hotel looks as beautiful from the outside as the White House, and the facilities are clean. The breakfast is simple but adequate. The staff are all friendly and helpful.
