Restaurant staff, especially Walid and Wael, provided attentive service and accommodated children’s food preferences. Housekeeping was praised for cleanliness and thoughtful room touches like fresh flowers and rose petals. The private beach is clean, well-maintained, and offers free towels and sunbeds without deposits. Multiple guests highlighted the friendly and helpful nature of overall hotel staff. Varied dining options with good buffet and themed meals, plus several on-site restaurants and bars. Some guests reported initial rooms with unpleasant smells or dated conditions before being upgraded. Ongoing renovation work caused noise disturbances and limited use of facilities like the gym. The hotel’s family-friendliness was questioned due to complaints about children playing and limited child-specific amenities. The beach area was described by some as small and affected by nearby construction work. Mixed feedback on food consistency and limited vegetarian options in the buffet.

We arrived at the hotel full of excitement, but unfortunately our initial room didn’t quite meet our expectations. However, the reception team handled the situation wonderfully and quickly upgraded us to a beautiful sea view room, which completely transformed our stay. From that point on, everything exceeded expectations. The restaurant staff, especially Walid and Wael, truly went above and beyond. They made a genuine effort to ensure our son always had food he enjoyed, and their attention to detail and kindness did not go unnoticed. The service throughout was impeccable. The beach was another highlight — very clean, well maintained, and offering stunning views that made it the perfect place to relax and unwind. We also really appreciated being allowed to keep our room until the end of our stay due to our late flight. Traveling with a young child can be challenging, and this small gesture made a huge difference in making our departure day smooth and stress-free. Overall, the staff at this hotel clearly do their best to make every guest’s stay enjoyable and easy. Combined with the good food in the restaurant and the beautiful surroundings, it made for a memorable experience.

Lovely hotel nice and clean we stayed in a lovely big room looking out to the sea the cleaner Jalila was exceptional and kept our room spotless with lovely fresh flowers and decorated the bed with petals for that extra touch.food was nice a lot of choice and all staff friendly and polite Hassen around the pool was excellent very happy and friendly, however all staff were. Only thing I missed was kettle in the room for early morning cuppa but overall excellent. There’s a hair dryer but no iron to press your clothes however they do offer a laundry service.

We arrived at the hotel and were quite disappointed to be taken through what felt like a building site to reach our room. Unfortunately, the initial room itself had a strong sewerage smell, which made it very unpleasant. However, after raising this with reception, they responded promptly and moved us to a much better room, which we appreciated. The cleanliness of the new room was satisfactory, with fresh towels provided daily, which was a positive aspect of our stay. The buffet restaurant offered decent food. What truly stood out here was the service — the waiters were exceptional. They made a real effort with our son, ensuring he had something he would eat each evening, quickly clearing dishes and keeping drinks topped up. Their attentiveness made a big difference to our overall experience. That said, we would not describe this as a child-friendly hotel. At one point, reception approached us to say that older guests had complained about our son playing with his football, which made us feel quite uncomfortable and unwelcome as a family. The beach itself was clean, although there was quite a lot of ongoing building work nearby, which did affect the atmosphere somewhat. The beach restaurant was satisfactory but nothing particularly memorable. On our final day, we requested a late check-out but were told the hotel was full. We were instead directed to use the shower by the outside pool, as no alternative room was available. This was a significant inconvenience, especially as we were travelling with a small child who wanted to enjoy the last afternoon comfortably. Overall, while there were some positive aspects — particularly the staff in the restaurant — there are clear areas that need improvement, especially regarding room conditions on arrival, family-friendliness, and guest facilities for departure days. We always stay in 5 star hotels hotels and would say this is 4 at best

I've just spent 10 days at The Sindbad and thoroughly enjoyed it! It was my hotel of choice mainly due to its reviews and the fact that it wasn't a huge hotel with a water park. I was accommodated in one of the rooms with a garden view and wasn't at all disappointed, it had a balcony and the room itself was spacious and very pleasant, I could get used to having a trio of fresh roses in my room and rose petals on my bed! I found all the staff to be super friendly, the housekeeper, the reception and especially the Scheherazade restaurant staff and the breakfast chef! All were superb and couldn't do enough for you and when they did it was no trouble at all. I only dined on site at the Scheherazade and found the buffet to be excellent with sufficient choice on offer everyday, it was plentiful and tasty and the pastries are simply superb! Plus points are - beach location, 3 pools for general use, one an infinity pool, one indoors, numerous restaurants, poolside restaurant / bar. I wouldn't hesitate to both stay at The Sindbad again, I hope I do, maybe they can get me on one of their golf courses as a beginner, I'd certainly recommend it. Thanks for being a super friendly hotel and an enjoyable one and a great place to explore from.

Great stay for a relaxing week away. This was our first time in Tuinisia and just wanted a hot destination to relax in. The hotel offered fresh beach towels everyday with no deposit, the lifeguard round the pool was super helpful and the staff in the resturant could not do enough to help you. We did half board, the breakfast was okay (good for sweet breakfast) but the dinner was very lovely some nights and a miss others. But the set up of the hotel resturant made you feel special rather than most half board or all inclusives. I would say the hotel is a bit far out and in more of a local area, but further up the road there were more hotels and bars etc. If we stayed in more of a touristic area we may have felt safe to leave the hotel. We did go on an all day tour organised by the rep, who was great. He was very informative and helpful as we hadn't been before and weren't sure what to expect. The pool shown in pictures wasn't great, very slippery around the pool and there are no sunbeds there, the beach is tiny and dirty. But we were happy around the other pool just relaxing. We did struggle at night as the hotel bar was always empty and nothing going on. Overall okay stay.

The staff were very welcoming, but the standard of the rooms was not up to 5-star standards, and part of the hotel is currently being renovated; therefore, there was too much noise.

Very good Service from all the staff, good food with different themes buffet on a half board. The dessert section is to die for. Les Voiliers restaurant was nice too for lunch ( amazing view). The beach was inviting with clear water and warm for mid October. Room is nice decorated with many place to hang your clothes. 10mn drive to Hammamet South and 5mn to Hammamet Fort if you need shopping. If you walk write 300mn on a main road is a kiosk with drinks and snacks as well as restaurants, bakeries... there is also a Clinic on your right side when something happens ( who knows). The hotel offers a Golf package at the Citrus ( 2x 18 Holes), we took the 3 days package....challenging! We are staying here for 10 nights and loving it. A special thank you to the best hotel Manager we have ever met Mr Ramsy.

Is this a 5-star hotel? Really? Rooms from the 1960s, spiders everywhere, filth everywhere. Horrific. To top off the terrifying experience, I had headphones on and probably didn't hear the knock... I found someone in my room while I was lying on the bed because they had to check the minibar. By the way, everything was paid for, even the spa entrance.

This is the first real 5* hotel I have been in Túnez. Friendly and efficient staff ready to help you anytime. Nice breakfast and dinner. Many different terraces and places to stay in. Cool pool. If I had to say something bad would be the size of our room. Extremely little full of fornitures..but enough comfortable. I recommend it.

Everything was 5 star. From the service to the accommodation. We were treated like royalty. We felt so welcome, the staff were very attentive to our needs and the variety of food was incredible. We were seen to by Walid and Wael from breakfast to dinner, 10/10 Everything was seen to by them and couldn’t be more happier we got their service Made us feel like princesses and welcomed us to our sits each time, made sure we were really comfortable. Would deffo be coming back next year.
