Swissotel Resort Bodrum Beach Hotel in Turgutreis

We had a chance to stay at the Bodrum Resort hotel last week.

Firstly and unfortunately, the room we selected and booked through the all accor app was not available and instead we were given a different room lacking the seperate toilet area / large sower and sofa / coffee table that were supposed to be in the room according to the information and photos that we selected.
The room also had to offer a garden view balcony which we had but most of the view was the giant ac cabinet which was quite noisy and was blowing warm air which made it unpleasant to sit on the balcony as it was 29-30 degrees outside.

As we informed the reception, they did not care much and said that this was the only available room and that they can do nothing about it.

I was really upset as I specifically selected the room according to the amenities it had to offer and was truly dissapointed. I asked to speak with the manager on duty but apparently there were no one available at that time. (19:00 pm)

Kindly they offered to cover the restaurant dinner expense for the first night and they asked from us to visit the reception next morning to see what can can do further. They even said that the general manager will be informed about the situation.

As I visited the reception next morning, the lady who dealt with us the previous night was off so I had to tell the story to the available personnel as she were not informed beforehand by her colleague while handing over the shift.

After making my complaint again, I was told that they will check what they can offer to us to make up for this situation. Neverteless, no one for the rest of the stay contacted me ever again.

Apart from this event, overall the hotel is nice and clean and we had a good time on the beach. The service staff in general are very positive and caring.

We had couple of housekeeping/ room service problems such as, they left a dirty pillow case on top of the bed after changing. One of the glasses they renewed (closed on top) was dirty. They did not refill the complementary coffee / tea daily (when we called and asked, they renewed). Lastly, on the first day when we were introduced to our room, I noticed an unpleasant smell coming from the toilet and told the receptionist as she was with us, she said that she will report it to be checked but no one came to check or inform us until check out.
