Stayed for one week— here are my thoughts:
The resort had many highlights, including beautiful private beaches, a great pool, and a relaxing, private atmosphere that wasn’t too busy during the off season. The food options were excellent—although they didn’t change much day to day, everything was fresh and delicious, and the servers were always attentive and helpful. The burgers at the outside pool bar were especially good. Housekeeping did a wonderful job, and the room itself was beautiful with a large bathroom (though it was disappointing that there was no iron or steamer unless you paid extra for dry cleaning). The rooms were very dated with small TVs and no new technology. The resort also had fun nightly entertainment—Rosebud Bar was a standout with its live music—and the abundance of cute kittens around the property was a delightful touch. The cherry juice was the best, and bowling was a fun addition, although the game and arcade room was closed off, musty, and warm so we didn’t stay long in it.
On the downside, the front desk staff were somewhat standoffish and not very friendly, especially when asking questions about how to get to Bodrum city / the city in general. Ordering food via QR code often took a long time, and servers left food at the bar without letting us know it was ready, as they did not deliver it to us and we had to get the cold food ourselves. The outdoor pool wasn’t heated, and the indoor pool appeared to have mold on the walls and unclean floors. Non-alcoholic drink options were limited to about 4–5 mocktails, juices, and sodas—more variety like smoothies would’ve been nice, especially for a Muslim country. The Mexican restaurant was a major disappointment: the food didn’t resemble Mexican cuisine, everything seemed thrown together, and the chicken was undercooked and inedible. The buffet was much better, making restaurant reservations not worth it. Lastly, guests should note that Uber isn’t available from the resort—you’ll need to call a taxi and pay in Turkish lira, which can be exchanged at the front desk.
Overall, the hotel was beautiful and the nature was a great soul cleanser. Thank you for a beautiful week.

Absolutely divine in every way possible. Amazing views, amazing rooms, amazing food, amazing staff, amazing facilities, amazing beaches, amazing heated pools, amazing calm quiet zones, amazing swings, amazing sunsets, amazing breakfast, amazing dinners & amazing entrance. I cannot fault this island hotel at all. I'm very picky and critical. Only fault was the weather and that wasn't the hotels fault. Thank YOU Xanadu Island for our stay in October 2025.

Just a beautifully serene experience from start to finish — a true island paradise. We walked around the island every day, taking in the stunning views of the sea and neighbouring Greek islands, with picturesque sunrises and sunsets that never got old. The sea was surprisingly warm for October and so clear you could see the fish beneath you. The hotel staff showed genuine hospitality — always there when needed, yet perfectly discreet. The food options were extensive, and we were always well catered for. The drinks were premium and varied, and the QR code system was a clever, modern touch. A massive shout-out to the kids’ club, the restaurant team, the omelette makers, the cleaners , all the staff! This felt like a step above a typical all-inclusive, and I truly hope to be back in the not-too-distant future.

What a beautiful place we have stayed here 16 times the service is fantastic the food is amazing especially the a la carte restaurants for that personal touch.The views around the Hotel are both peaceful are calming there are jetty’s that extend out into the ocean for that extra peace and quiet and where ever you are you can just scan the barcode and order whatever you require and it is delivered to you. The staff are amazing always happy to help and smiling.we always leave the island feeling like we have had a amazing rest oh and if that’s not enough they even do you washing and pressing so when you get home you have minimal washing to do.we will be return next year for or 17th stay.

Xanadu Island Hotel Bodrum is really the best hotel in all Turkey! Especially the Restaurant! Oh my god wat an amazing food it has. Really wow, and chef Mudlu is really the best. He always takes good care of us and give us the best food! And a special thanks for Dilek for her amazing hospitality and getting us always the best comfort possible. The team and hotel is amazing!!! Me and my partner have just returned from this amazing place We stayed for a week in a Courtyard Suite in the main building, room was spacious and clean with everything we needed, hotel is kept so clean, all the staff are friendly and can’t do enough for you, shout out too Murat, Dani and Serhat from the beach bar that kept the drinks coming to our sunbeds on the beach, also the nice Indonesian girls at the buffet restaurant that served us , food is good, plenty of choice, especially the barbecue choices, we visited the Mexican alacarte once which was very good, drinks are great liked that you actually got branded choice instead of local variety’s, over all we had a great relaxing stay and would highly recommend
