Candan Apart in Marmaris

Rooms-
All rooms have aircon set to 18- not cold at all, especially in 41-degree heat.
You have to PAY for Aircon, which is crazy but we didn't mind until we realised it does absolutely nothing for you! All the kids were struggling to sleep, and we adults were melting. It was shocking. I spoke to our neighbours and they said they will never come back due to the terrible aircon, it interferes with your sleep.
They offered to change our room when one is available, we are still here, so I will do another review if it's better. We spoke to staff, and they all said the 4th floor is the hottest! So why would you put 2 groups up here for under 1 year olds and under 5's who cannot regulate their body temperature properly. No common sense and really stressful for all of us trying to manage that.
Rooms are lightly cleaned daily, towels are not replaced unless you catch them doing your room and ask for it, and you only get 1 toilet roll, then you need to buy it yourself! Madness- I'm on holiday and don't even get toilet roll. I asked daily for some as I refused to pay for a basic in a hotel and they gave it to me.

The hotel-
Nice basic hotel, it's a no frills hotels, close to the beach, supermarkers, greengrocers and restaurants max 10mins walk.

They have kids disco daily at 8.30pm (6.30pm uk time), and after that, it is another performance - circus or acrobats- it is fun, actually.

There are a lot of cats and kittens ( very cute), but the kittens climbed into the buggy and surrounded my friends kid when she dropped food - had about 7 cats circling her feet They didn't cause any harm, but it was a lot! The staff did good to get them away and offered them food in a different section

We didn't try the Turkish buffet, we asked yesterday when it is and was told it was on Thursday ( yesterday) but nobody advised it so none of us knew. They said hardly anyone turned up and I said because they did not advertise it or announce it!
Food and drink onsite is more costly than outside which is the norm- if you want your money to last eat at a local restaurant not the hotel. Also food opens were very british! The tiniest Turkish section. We're on holiday to embrace a different culture and lifestyle for the week, not have a shepards pie or sausages and chips, which we can get literally daily back home.

Pools are nice and the baby pool is great for the little ones

Hasan who worked on reception was very friendly and helpful. when we arrived we had an attic room which faced fish market. He moved us to a beautiful room asap. Hotel was spotless, comfortable beds and roomy apartment. kitchen had everything provided even spatula etc for cooking. pool was lovely and slide great for kids. short walk to beach and nice restaurants nearby. centralised air conditioning- worked too well sometimes even in 38 degree heat. Excellent value for money.
