Tahir Aga Konagi Hotel

Excellent value. Was here 2 nights April 30 and May 1. Friendly staff (and many thanks to Erdal who was of great help to me!! Especially for this tired tourist.). The hotel was in a good location about a 5 minute walk to my meeting point for my Sumela Monastery tour transport, and on my final day for taking a dolmus to Ataturk Pavilion (I also walked in the quiet neighborhood by the Pavilion). Plus the hotel is so close to the airport. I slept well! The hotel has traditional decor with authentic architectural features, and was very clean. I booked the discounted room so a tall person may not like the slanted roofline (especially in the bathroom). My room had interesting views of the city. It is an easy walk to the town center where there are restaurant choices, and I also walked down to a park by the Sea which was beautiful and pleasant before catching dinner. I rated this hotel high because of the overall value which was perfect for my needs, and it was very clean. People in town and my tour guides were familiar with the hotel.

Stayed 2 nights, and hotel was good for cost. Is clean and bed is comfortable. But needs repairs done, ceilings peeling, tiles broken, shower leaks out through base.
Location is good, just 5 minute walk to centre. And easy when driving to visit sites outside city. Parking also directly at front door.
Staff were nice but difficult to communicate with. I asked for pricing of laundry and was shown paper with prices, then next morning when putting laundry in they had new more expensive price list…was a little off-putting but then when laundry was returned the price was much lower than I expected according to prices shown to me by young man on reception.
Hotel was good for what paid, with little care could be beautiful place.

Good location, clean rooms, decent breakfast, economy room is small and no sound isolation at all. Recommended for short and budget visits.

The staff were marvellous. Helpful, informative and very professional. The breakfast was so excellent, with the staff also very helpful also. Location is perfect for the city centre in terms of accessibility.You can’t find a better hotel at the price in that location. Trust me I’ve tried!
