It's located on the inner side of the island. The location given on Google Maps is incorrect. It's about 120 meters to the left. There's a parking area, and it's not very noticeable within the park. Its historical character appears to be very well preserved. The water is flowing and icy. Just 5 meters away is another fountain where modern islanders get their water. I don't think it was right to build it so close to the historic fountain.

Yes, it's a historic and beautiful fountain, but it's currently connected to the municipal water supply. Despite this, the lack of any warning sign indicating that it's not potable is a bit odd.

It is the most important of the fountains commissioned by Grand Vizier Öküz Mehmet Pasha on Bozcaada. Located in the northeast corner of Namazgah Square, it is a square-shaped cistern-filled fountain with cut tuff on the east and south sides and rubble stone on the west and north sides. Its inscription is dated 1703.

A fountain with a beautiful epitaph. At the intersection of the street where the mosques are located, it should definitely be visited together with the mosques.

I left very satisfied with the sincerity and smiling face of Orhan brother in the island olympos hostel, which I went to on the recommendation. I recommend it to everyone. A clean comfortable peaceful stay
