Reviews
It was ok! The room was nice and big, free toiletries, air con and mini fridge. It wasn't quite as luxury as we hoped. There is no duvet or sheet other than a small, scatchy sheet for 2 people to sleep under, also the floor was dirty so my feet got dusty and black when walking barefoot. There were also stains on the headboard of the bed. Overall it was fine though, good location and it was quiet.
Getting to the hotel by car was very difficult and no warning was given in advance.
We travel a lot and this was by far the worst experience I can recall for years.
There was a lack of care and service for this hotel which operates more like an Airbnb over a few instances:
1. We notified the owner that we will reach late (10.30pm) due to a cancelled bus, and he said his colleague will be around for check in. We reached at around 10.25pm and the front doors were locked, and nobody in the hotel at all. Kind passersby helped us contact the reception and we also called the owner, but we still had to wait about 15 mins in the cold for a person to come even though we gave heads up on our arrival time.
2. There was no housekeeping throughout our stay even when we requested for it. We were asked what we needed and they simply left it at the reception table.
3. There was nobody around during check out timing and we were not instructed on what to do during check out. When we contacted the owner, he had no real solution and we had to suggest where to leave the keys. After which he told us to leave it as the post box outside the hotel.
Besides this lack of service, the rooms were not very clean. The floor was sandy and dusty - we had to clean the floor with a towel and noticed lots of dust and sediments. The towels provided were also not clean, a few of the towels still had hairs on them.
The location of the hotel wasn’t that bad but it is not as convenient as expected because it’s located in back alleys and can be quite dark at night.
We also requested for late check out as we had a late flight, of which the owner was very inflexible though it looked like there was no other booking on the day of the check out. This was also quite ridiculous when we realised nobody was around for check out which meant if we checked out late nobody would have realised either.
For an establishment that claims to be a hotel, there was no service at the standard of a hotel provided. We were very disappointed.
Great location
Roomservice: (bad)
Breakfast very expensive 10€/person!
But we really enjoyed Our week !
See You again
