Cagan Hotel in Antalya

Terrible experience. Even if I could give 0 stars, I think that would be an overstatement. Possibly the worst hotel experience of my life. We walked in to check in for our reservation made and fully paid months in advance and found that for no reason at all, the hotel cancelled our reservation the day we arrived even though it was guaranteed by Hotels.com. They gave the room to someone else and told us that they informed Expedia of the cancellation even though I did not book with Expedia. The couple were both extremely rude and started a shouting match, they literally kicked us out and said to go find a room somewhere else. We insisted that we needed our room as it was dark outside and I have two children. I started chatting with Hotels.com and my husband and I were literally screaming for help in a country we're visiting for the first time and we don't know the language. The rude guy then goes inside and started fighting with his wife and comes back to tell us to go across the street to stay at Gunduz Otel for the night. We asked the guy if the Gunduz Otel is nice/comparable, and he kept repeating that it's terrible and not nice at all as if he was rubbing it in our faces... The owner of Gunduz Otel is extremely nice, and we found the Gunduz Otel to be a better hotel overall compared to Cagan. I would look there instead!
