Monotel Capsule Hotel in Kiev

I was worried that it would be a noisy hotel but it was super quiet. The staff is very helpful and the place is very clean

Was my first experience with a capsule hotel. It was nice because you have a little more privacy than a typical hostel. They have lockers that you can keep your stuff in, as well as a refrigerator if you want to get some groceries while you stay. They have different names for the rooms, I stayed in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" room. Not really a theme to it, but it was nice. They have smart toilets there, so that was something I had never seen before. It's on the third floor of the building it is in, so you might have to walk your bags up. The lady at the front desk said that there was an elevator, but I never saw it. Only issue was that I couldn't figure out how to take a hot shower. Possibly user error, so take my experience with a grain of salt.
Probably the best aspect of it is the location. There are about six or more embassies within a five minute walk, and the metro is about a ten minute walk. It is in a very safe location, so that was a relief for me as it was my first day in the country. There is an atm close as well that you can get money from. It has Russian, Ukrainian, and English, so it was easy for me to use. I don't know if I would stay long term there, but for one night, it was perfect.
